Happy Income Tax Paying Day

The two things in Trump news are his six years of back income taxes and also when is the Muller report coming out.  It was supposed to be this week but we all have our doubts. Congress is not even in session this week.  By law President Trump has to present his taxes for the past six years, but of course he won’t and congress won’t do anything about it.  Then there is the whole sanctuary city proposal where “We have an unlimited supply” of people to flood the sanctuary cities with to give them beaurocratic nightmares.   Today is Jackie Robinson day at Dodger Stadium and it’s also the day they run the Boston Marathon.

Game of Thrones is a violent show steeped in fantasy and weird sexual stuff.  I guess there is even brother and sister incest.   Then we have all of the super hero stuff in the movies.  Religion can’t keep up with all of that.  All you have is this messiah figure who was by their own admission “despised and rejected” while he was alive.  They make it a point of doctrine that he “failed” in his mission (whatever it was) while he was alive and only after death (by many decades) did he come into his full power by being the object of worship of the Catholic Church.  That’s a strange way to write the script.  One would suppose that at least at his funeral there would be throngs of people pledging allegence to him because of what he did while he was alive.  But the Church isn’t really interested in what Jesus did while he was alive.  They are more interested in the theological framing of his ministry.  We are the ones who are “framed” for crimes we didn’t commit so we can feel guilty and indebted to the Church leaders.

(from last Tuesday)  Bill was already out there by the van and we waited for John to arrive.  We went down Cerritos to Walnut to Ball.  We dropped Bill off and then took the Santa Ana Freeway to our destination to La Palma and Romnya.  I had been to this gastro plate before.  It’s the place that kind of reminds me of a hospital and had a big waiting area with a lot of chairs.  I was called in a little after nine thirty.  I think the guy who weighed me goofed having it at 164 rather than 168 if he had read the scale properly.  My blood pressure was 152 over 90.  This is as high as it’s ever been since I’ve lived here and I explained it because of the shoulder pain I was in.  I talked to a lot of different staff and technicians.   Finally the doctor came in, Dr Amin.  He told me that my blood test from October showed that my hepatitis B had been acting up again, which explains the five or six week long fever illness that I’d had at that time that I had been unable to explain.  I have an appointment for July 2nd to get the colonoscopy I guess.  I also have another scheduled blood test.  I began to smoke a cigarette outside.  Then John came.  We went and picked up Bill and I smoked another cigarette while we waited for him.  By now it was ten to eleven.

(Thursday)  I went with John and Jeff to go to Dr Saran’s office.  We both had  the same destination.  We got there right at ten and Jeff went in first even through I signed my name first.   Jeff told me again of this story where he already had a funeral plot for himself in Newport Beach but then he sold it back to the place and gave the money to his mother because she needed it.  Jeff never did say what he was seeing the doctor for but talked about orthopedics.  A lot of people went in ahead of us including people who got there after we did.  Dr Saran called me in.  My blood pressure was 148 pver 84 and my temperature was 97.7 or something.  Dr Saran had me move my arm around.  The shoulder muscles hurt no matter what position you have your arm in.  I told him the story about opening up a can of difficult cat food.  He scheduled me for an X Ray I think will be done here.  Also he increased my Adville.  I wanted him to switch to a different drug because Adville has stopped working.  We finished up at five to eleven.  Jeff was already in the van ahead of me and we got here about four after eleven, in time for lunch.

They had that funeral for Nipsey Hustle on at the doctor’s office and also it was playing in the dining room.  I later learned that this funeral is being covered on all TV stations except for KCOP 13 and the funeral was still going on at the Staples Center at one.  So I’ll miss my soap opera.  This is a rapper with a prison record I guess and they are treating him like a deceast president or something.  They weren’t playing any rap music at his funeral.   Just now  I used that shoulder cream Bill got me.  That’s the only way I’m going to get relief right now.

They had this Gandhi list of seven social sins.  Most of them I would agree with.  No riches without work, no politicians without real principles.  no commerce without a rule book and yard markers, no pleasure without ethical principles.  But one area where I would disagree with Gandhi is "No worship without sacrifice".  Basically all worship of a deity IS sacrifice anyhow.  I would change this one to "No religion without science".  That would be a constructive addition.   Of course there is another one called "No science without humanity".   There is another one involving "Knowledge without character".   If you're going to have any religion that can be called respectable (which is saying a lot right there) that religion has to be backed up by science.

My view of Jesus is that he didn't have a suicide impulse and that he Did have a successful ministry and when he sensed he wasn't as popular as he used to be like if someone were seeking to betray him, he left town as was his practice.  I would cite the scripture from Genisis spoken by God himself that goes "If you do well, will you not prosper, and if not- - sin is crouching at the door and it's desire is for you and you must master it".   It's funny how Church leaders can slip in and out of this humility and forgiveness mode when it suits them.  They cam become petty and vain, and will foist their own feelings on to Jesus and turn him into someone who is petty and a little vain.

Julian Assange Arrested in London

Here we are in concrete and there were no formatting problems this time.  We watched Dateline and then it was Eye Witness news and the ABC network news.  For a while Bill had on Divorce Court on KCOP.  We had a tuna melt sandwich for dinner with two tomato slices.  Then the guy came to X Ray my right shoulder and took two photos in the front room.  I was sitting down.  Then I had my iron pill from Jan.  We still haven’t seen Mayo around for a long time.
This is April 11, 2019 and today or yesterday is “sun parody day” where the sun rises and sets an equal distance from the equinox on the other side on September first at the same time.  On the news yesterday they had the world’s first photo of an actual black hole, or so they claim.  I don’t believe it because I don’t believe it’s possible to photograph one.  It violates Einstein’s special theory of relativity.  The space it’s in should entirely disappear from our universe.
On Stephanie’s show they told us Julian Assange has been arrested at the Chilean embassy in London.  They got tired of him after seven years.  They say he had bad hygiene.   Now the British government had indicated a willingness to extradite him.  We’ll get him for his cooperation with Chelsea Manning, who used to be Bradley Manning, who hacked into government computers prior to 2012 and Wikileaks published the information.   People say that if he were a true “civil disobedience” protestor he should be willing to go to jail for his crimes.
Attorney General Barr testified for two days this week and there was a rumor he was going to testify today.  He gives no evidence for wanting to investigate the FBI for “spying on the Trump campaign” in 2016 working for the Obama government.  Barr also gave no reason why Trump should be exhonorated for his many crimes.  The Muller report didn’t clear him by any means.  Some said that he “sat there like a potted plant” not answering any questions.
There is a bad blizzard in the news yesterday and today on the ABC news.  This snow storm dropping up to two feet runs from Denver to Chicago and hits Minisota and Wisconsin and Iowa and Nebraska and South Dakota and Kansas.  Winter won’t let go there, but as the storm moves east, it should change to rain.  Our weather here is slightly warmer than average.

What I did on Thursday

I've had a health problem.  I threw out my right shoulder opening up a difficult can of cat food two Sundays ago and a day or two later my muscles began aching.  I've never gotten over the pain.  They give me Adville for it and it doesn't work.  My response to their ads is to say "Relief, what relief?"   Thursday morning they were offering me the hope of something stronger to take like codeine but then gave me an appointment for next Thursday to even see Dr Saran in his office.  It would be after that before I'd see a back specialist.  I don't want this to drag out like scabies did two years ago right around this time of year.   In terms of Trump news I'm hoping to do a fresh posting on all of the people our esteemed president has alienated.  He's alienated the health care people, and the coal mining lobby, those looking for better trade with China, of course he's alienated the Latino and Black votes and also fans of John Mc Cain.  The only people he seems to care about are the etherial hard right gun lobby people, and also the military pro Israel lobby.  Anyhow here is what I did on Thursday.

Paul showed up a couple of minutes past eight.  We used the car where Paul was a little worried about the battery running down.  We took Magnolia right to the freeway and after a while got in the express lane or diamond lane.  It kept looking like it was going to rain ahead of us and we encountered a few drops but a few windshield wipes covered it.  In general we made pretty good time but I was worried because this road is legendary for heavy traffic.  We turned off at Van Buren and once again I marvled at the mixture of rural and creeping urbanism.  I was getting cramps in my legs bu the time we got there.  Marie had on “Let’s Make a Deal” on the giant screen.  We looked at family photos from Paul from an album I’d never seen compiled with those photos before.  They were gathered from diverse sources.  At one point I wanted to sit down because we were all standing.  We left without Marie to go to the cemetery at almost ten.  We were famous this days for wandering around industrial places to look at them.  We made out way to the grave and saw the grave stone with Mom’s name on it.  We marvled a while then Paul said something about the scripture reference and Tim changed the subject.   We had looked at the trail on Tim’s computer.  We were in the northeast enterance of the park area.  But the guy said all of the flat trails were on the other side.  We went down the first trail we saw but it was more of an “animal path” than a good trail because it was lumpy with lots of ups and downs and rock cravaces.  I soon got tired and began losing my balance.  I knjew we couldn’t go very far and we soon turned around.  We debated what to do next.  We went to this record place to the north.  We spent a lot of time driving on the east side of Riverside city limits.  The record place wasn’t there any more.  By now it was getting pretty close to noon so we ate lunch in downtown Riverside.  We went right by the Mission Inn and I got to see it in person for the first time.  We went to this sandwich place and I needed to use the restroom again.  I told Tim to order.  I had an Italian Grinder and a large Cola.  Tim had ordered fruit and it was strawberries and grapes.  The sandwich was too big to eat whole and the bread was tough.  Then we went to that photo place where they discussed selling some of Dad’s cameras or selling some of Dad’s framed photos.  Then we wandered the streets more making our way back to Tim’s house.  I didn’t see any cats there.  We visited with Marie a little more.  We not once discussed politics.  Paul and I made our way back home and never needed a jump.  We made good time on the way home escept for a little traffic right in eastern Orange County.  Paul called Judy up and I held the cell phone.

The Democratic Candidates

Well I haven't written here in a while.  I still don't think my ratings are that good.  Let's talk about all of the democratic candidates for President.  All the woman candidates are ganging up on Joe Biden because of his encounters with women they hare dredged up from the past.  Clearly the motives behind these stories are political because the women are working for other candidates such as Sanders.  I don't think Biden should run because he just takes too long to make decisions.  I thought he was "outed" when he talked about "all the other candidates running" but even with that prompt to confess that he's running he immediately backs off and says he hasn't decided.  The first debates will be this June and even that it too early of a date.  In August, Iowa has their famous straw poll that gives us the first inklings of where the candidates stand with each other.  Clearly we have to watch and observe how the candidates interract with each other on stage, such as who dominates whom and who gets the better of whom.  Right now the major candidates are Aiony Clovichar,  Elizabeth Warren, Kirstan Jildibran and Camila Harris and I can't spell.  We also have Beto O Ororke and Bernie Sanders.  I don't have any real thoughts to add here   Cory Booker is iffy.

To bolster his ratings in the polls, Trump had Prime Minister Netanyahoo of Israel on the TV with him in a preemption of regular programming.  Netanyahoo praised Trump for recognizing the capture of the Golan Heights and also of moving the embassy to Jerusalem from Tel Aviv.  Of course the feeling was mutual because Netanyahoo needed Trump's endorsement for running for reelection as Prime Minister.  I'm wondering when Netahyahoo is going to turn fundamentalist Christian.  They believe in this sort of spiritual Israeli supremicy and also that Jesus is going to come back and the victors will rule in power and glory with him.  Trump wants to be one of the leaders in the Age to Come and if this world gets blown up in the process it is no big thing,.  It seems to be the only aspect of Christianity that Trump goes along with.  It's this pro Jewish bent that sees the USA as partners "shoulder to shoulder" with Israel as Sean Hannity talks about.  It seems to be a small thing for Netanyahoo to convert to this Trump brand of dominionist Christianity.  A lot of people will get nuked in W W III but that won't matter as long as Trump is one of the winners.  They seem to want to foment a war with Iran just for this occasion.  They both seemed to be egging for a war with Iran.
