Speech Leaves Unanswered Questions

President Obama spoke before congress tonight and I'd like to know if any of you out there were left as confused as I was. He says he wants to cut costs but the key way of doing this he leaves optional, which is having a Public plan to compete with private insurance companies to keep them honist. I would have declared war on these Insurance and Drug companies saying that "either you trim the fat and overhead and cut costs, or the government will put you out of business. Apparently Obama wasn't kidding when he said only five percent of the population would go for a public health plan. Why veil this little detail? Apparently the bill states IF there is a "public option" at all it won't be for All of the public but only a select five percent who are now without insurance. If you have insurance already, however dissatisfied you are with it, you are STUCK with your present policy. The insurance companies wrote this little protection for themselves into the law. President Obama seemed not to have the vaguest idea how he'd pay for all these people who've been dropped from insurance policies due to a pre existing condition or some other reason. It looks like people who have been doing "fine" without any insurance will not not only have to buy it, like auto insurance, but also these people will pay new, higher rates for the privelege of being insured. More than they would have to pay right now, because they are subsedizing all those people who were dropped and now reinstated. It strikes me as a highly disingenuous statement of his saying that the people without medical insurance are freeloaders, and this state of being will not be allowed under his plan. The fear is not that they will contribute to costs. On the contrary these are the people who will NOT increase costs because they never see the doctor anyway. The Public option would be no threat to existing insurance companies, obviously with the highly select qualifications to get it. Obama made some sense when he said he was for "mal practice reform". In other countries they don't practice the sort of "defencive medicine" practiced in this country. People are not subjected to unnecessary tests. Neither are people subjected to unnecessary drugs, I suspect. This is one area where costs might be cut in Medi-Care itself. But as to how to pay for this thing without adding a dime to the budget deficet is something the President never explained. The insurance companies love this plan because they will just hike everybody's rate to cover all those people who had previously been kicked off due to pre existing condition. With these people again as a cost burden, rates will necessarily go up dramatically. Clearly from the applause the bulk of Congress prefers the Public option. If you're going to do a bill what the public option will hopefully assure is that there is no waste and overhead and profit gauging. The argument can be made that half a loaf is worse than no loaf if the bread is dry or old and moldy and otherwise inedible Coming up with some weird watered down hybred that makes nobody happy but the insurance and drug companies will realize new untold windfall revenues. This makes no sense at all.

They were going to broadcast a republican response to this address. I stepped out briefly for a cigarette before the address began and when I came back in, ABC news was just signing off. Either it was the shortest response on record or else the news networks didn't cover it.

There is a "death movement". It seems investors have begun speculating by buying up peoples' life insurance policies and speculating when the beneficiary will die, and if they die before a certain date they get a lot of money. I wish the President had address issues like these in his speech, where it's all a game of finance and wheeler-dealing.

The Supreme Court held "an unusual summer session" ruling about a conservative propaganda piece that activists wanted to run against Hillary Clinton. It would seem from excerpts of the deliberations today that the Court will rule in favor of the corporations and big money interests.

Many people play the game of "I'm afraid of the strong, so I'll attack the weak". Even Lisa Simpson, while in the guise of a boy had to play this game by wasting the weakest, most defenceless kid in the school in order to curry favor with the local bullies. Certainly in the South they play this game well, where the overlord pigs of the plantation keep everyone impoverished so that poor whites were told to make scapegoats of the Negros. Conservatives play this game in not attacking NAFTA for ruining American business but instead blame the poor and those on minimum wage for their woes for "driving up taxes". We saw this in opperation on today's soap opera where Ariana attacked her boyfriend and jetisoned a friend she badly needs, all because Grandpa gave her an ultamatum, but she dares not let it be wispered that he has something on her. And now President Obama is playing this game by being so afraid of the insurance companies he could shit in his pants, but refuses to attack them but rather attacks the "devicive ones out there who want to prolong debate". It's those damn leftists and their do or die attitude tword the Public Option. It's this very attitude that is going to insure that we do NOT pull out of this economic recovery because Obama appears to be in the back pocket of special interests and will do anything the corporate bankers and the insurance companies tell him to do. He dared to invoke the Kennedy name. But if I were a Kennedy I'd be ashamed of this man because he is the exact oposit of Jack and Bobby Kennedy who never backed away from a fight on principle. Think about it.

The Corporatist Takeover of America

Randi Rhodes just reported that FOX news will not be airing the President's speech on health care tonight, but instead will be running an episode of "So You Think You Can Dance". So it could be argued that FOX is "dancing around the issue". Apparently if you are in an area that only gets FOX, you can turn to FOX news and get a chopped up and re-processed version of the President's speech. One of the roomers about the Health Care bill is true. You heard it said that if the bill passes you will lose your medicare. But actually the insurance companies with their tight grip on congress have written in a provision that if there is a public option you are forbidden from joining it like if you're a Wal-Mart employee and get their crappy insurance, you are now able to qualify for Medi-Cal or some state health plan due to the fact that Wal-Mart workers get paid below the poverty level. But you will no longer be able to get Medi-Cal should this version of the bill pass. Also you know don't you that 20% according to Hartman, of large corporation boards of directors are foreigners from places like Communist China. Of course now conservatives love Communist China now that they are corporitist. But there is a supreme court decision that was argued today in which John Roberts telegraphed the outcome in advance. There was a case last spring involving whether a corporation was really a person and John Roberts apparently told the party "Come back and argue your case broadly in the fall, and you will get a favorable ruling". The case involves corporate financing of campaigns. The buzz around Washington is that the Supreme Court will throw out one hundred years of statutes and say that it's perfectly OK for a corporation to write a direct check for a million dollars to their favorite politician to buy their vote in congress. The concencus now is that Corporations already own congress. The whole Republican party is taken over by the far right, and Thom Hartman says that progressives need to "infiltrate" the democratic party and take IT over so we have at least ONE political party that represents "the rest of us" on the left. As you may know Corporations were given person-hood in 1886 when one court clerk put an addendum on a case in which he quoted a dead Justice's opinion on the subject. So now we have dead judges making Supreme Court rulings. Hartman had said that the upcoming Supreme Court ruling will set off such an uproar it will be the equivelant of the Dread Scott case legitimizing slavery in 1857. But our President has no inclination to want to take on the right wing the way Roosevelt did in a campaign speech of 1936 in which he was very brazen about his aims and who was at fault for our economic woes. Roosevelt came out and said "We are after their corporate power" right out. And the statement met with thunderous applause. But now President Obama says that he is "open to new suggestions and ideas". To me this looks like he's trying to weasel out of the Public Health Care option in any of the Health Bills. I am not at all optimistic about the course President Obama's speech tonight. I'll have more to say on this after the speech is delivered.

According to George Washington's blog, what we are going through economically is not a "cyclical downturn" but the problem is systemic. These are jobs that are going away and not coming back. He had figures on unemployment from the late twenties and early thirties compared to the past few years. In 1930, the year after the stock market crash, unemployment was only at eight percent. In 1931 it had risen to fifteen percent. But there are computations they do now but keep secret that indicate unemployment is already at fifteen percent if you count those who have given up looking for a job, or those who are "under-employed" meaning the pay they are getting isn't keeping them afloat economically. Contrary to what we were all told there was no massive drop in unemployment in the fall of 1992 but figures continued elevated into 1993. Also, Rush Limbaugh in 1993 predicted that unemployment would be dramatically UP in two years (which would be 1995). This proved to be a very false prediction. We won't even discuss how bad Sylvia Brown's predictions are. We know the problem with this economy is that there is no demand. And it's hard to have demand that drives a recovery, with unemployment rates that will probably bump over ten percent in the next reporting. The President, unlike Franklin Roosevelt, is still a foot soldier to the corporatist who caused the problem in the first place, refusing to fire people that Really should be fired.

You know, in the Mayan Calendar there was a four hundred year period of one royal dynasty comprising sixteen kings. And their calendar appared to prophesy this 400 year auspitious period in advance in the ninth of some grand cycle. But a good slogan for empires might just be "four hundred years and then you're done". The Roman Empire was invaded in 412 by some group about four hundred years after it got going good. The United States as a culture has been around not quite four hundred years if you use 1620 as a starting point. Other 400 year periods suggest themselves such as the Ottoman (Turkish) empire and the Russian Empire that ended with the Romanovs in 1917 and the Austro-Hungarian Empire, which may be shorter than that. Who is to say what macro-forces are out there. Some people say Time is a "real substance" like space is, because your perception of it can be altered. If time is a THING that is perceived - - then it's just a question of HOW we are perceiving it. Hopefully from the past to the future. Now they have a show on ABC "Flash Forward" where there is a massive black-out of the population and everybody has their own "revelation" of some aspect of the Future. One would hope it's the REAL future and not some Sylvia Brown Twilight Zone phantom. That is, the people are shown actual moments in the future and from THAT moment on, then they can TRY and change things. Of course if the Cosmic Game-master wants to put a "free revelation" into the mix as part of the master opperating program, this is His or Her perogative. So all of these revelations are just as "predestined" as everything else that happens, to make it interesting.

Finally, the Beatles have their Beatle Game out today or 09-09-09. All of their music has been remixed and for the first time their first four British albums are out in Stereo on CD. Also I would wonder whether other items have been "fixed" like the guitar bass in "Day Tripper" or going back to the original mixes of Yellow Submarine, Taxman, Got to Get You Into My Life, and Tomorrow Never Knows. I bet they still didn't release the Christmas records. I do know that people were saying in 1987 that those releases were put out "hurridly".

Obama Follows Same Defective Script

Well, President Obama’s spine has again suffered one of those gelatinous attacks, to which he is so vulnerable. He let go Van Jones, the green jobs czar. This was a newly created post in March of 2009. Of course, like is so typical of Obama, he didn’t fire him for unsatisfactory work but because he is too Controversial. So he has been arrested once or twice in his life. He protested the Rodney King verdict. We all did. He said that he was “almost a communist” now. If I didn’t have such a strong background in business finance, I might have made the statement myself. He has used descriptive language about republicans where the expletives were not deleted. And as to his remarks about Columbine and how you never see a minority going psycho like this killing thirteen students, while that’s true. While we’re at it just about all of the mass bombers of note have been White. Since when is it a crime to state the obvious? But it would seem that the statement that got him in the most trouble was that he wanted to see 9 – 11 investigated and he thinks the government was careless in allowing it to happen. I think the same things. Should they throw me in jail? Any time President Obama takes any kind of an affirmative position siding with the left, he always seems to apologize for having said it. But as for me, count me as still firmly in Van Jones’ corner.

This is Tuesday morning September 8, 2009. Obama gave his speech today but getting it on TV was another story. FOX had promised the speech at nine. That would make it at noon in the east. But at nine I checked every TV station and every key radio station and none of them had a hint about it. It was not the conversational topic anywhere. Finally about twelve after nine I got the speech on FOX but suddenly the station was plagued with interference and neither it nor nine would come in more than a second or two without blacking out. This interference went on for the duration of the speech, but now that the speech is over, the station is coming in fine. Tammy Bruce, that expert on hearth and home, proclaimed in her Twitter today that “You parents are your child’s best moral tutor, and not that shady lawyer from Illinois” referring to Obama. Of course Tammy Bruce had absolutely no problem anything Bill Clinton did during his administration, when I was listening to her regularly. These celebrities like Dennis Miller, Star Parker, and Laura Schleshenger, who have fallen off the edge of the earth politically- - I just don’t understand how it happened because all four of these people are latter day converts to the fringe right wing. Of course I read the speech on line last night so I knew what was in it. What struck me was that the speech seemed longer than I was expecting. Newt Gringrich said that was a good speech and for kids to listen to it. Who would guess that Newt Gingrich would be positioned to the left of Tammy Bruce, who as you know likes to put on a dildo when she’s having sex with another woman.

This next paragraph may come off as psychotic ramblings like that Cellist they had on Sixty Minutes who revealed how mentally ill he actually was when he tried to hold his own in an interview. This is because we mentally ill folk see connections in things that ordinary people don’t see any connection with. My overall theme for this paragraph is that there is some all-encompassing “master script writer” for the events in our world. And sometimes these “writers” aren’t all that believable. They are so bent on writing certain “events” into the script that just how they unfold becomes of little concern to them. Like you’ve seen these movies they review on “At the Movies”. It’s a really bad movie and you’ve figured that out and you’re just waiting for the moment when you can leave. But there is some “event” that they “telegraphed” would happen early in the movie and you’re just “waiting for it to unfold” even though when it does you will know you’re already bored and disinterested. A couple weeks ago Stewart Sutcliffe talked with me and he said “No matter what events take place during the Obama administration, we are still Cosmically a lot better off than we would have been under Hillary”. If you are a “believer” in all my “Federation” writings this remark will make perfect sense. For the rest of us (including me) we wonder whether Hillary Clinton would not have been a far more effective standard bearer for the party. What if Hillary people were “out for blood” and wanted to carry the fight to the convention floor. I know party officials dread a prospect like this because they say “It would divide the party”. Oh really? Consider who the opposition turned out to be- - Mc Cain and Palin. With a team like this NO democrat is going to vote for those two over ANY democrat. In a July 2008 blog I wrote “You know right now I just Trust John Mc Cain more than I do Obama”. If the Republicans had gone with a moderate platform and chosen someone like Arlen Specter or Lamar Alexander for Vice President, there are decent odds I would have voted Republican in the last election. But as I have indicated higher up in this file, The Republican ideology seems to have fallen off the surface of the earth lately. Their political positions on any issue are so far “Beyond the Pale” that almost ANY democrat would have gotten my vote last year. Script writers like to screw around with you. Like take the case of Melanie and Philip on “Days of Our Lives”. We all know they had sex and everybody is inclined to blame Melanie for it- - as though Philip was some zombie with no will of his own. But with the facts Melanie had to work with- - who would guess the outcome? Melanie had had it made it clear to her over and over that Philip and Stephanie were through, over, kaput. She had “played the hero” once too often- - waiting on pursuing the relationship with Philip any further- - because she wanted to be absolutely sure. Sometimes no matter what people say, however stridently- - their assertions dissolve into mush and aren’t worth a thing. One of the stupidest Simpson’s episodes was that “1990’s rebellion” one they did about Marge being in College just fifteen years ago. Over and over again she affirmed that what her teachers were saying was true, that men are all pigs and want to hold you back. She was there to learn and expand her mind. You will also remember that other episode where all the Simpson’s women were really smart. They were doctors and researchers and lawyers and such. Given this model- - one would suppose that Marge had something to aspire to. All her life she’d admired an intellectual. And yet all her teacher has to do is make a casual disparaging remark about marriage- - and Marge turns into a “Born Again- - - dimwit”. Suddenly all she wants to do is be the dumbest female on the planet, as well as have far fewer friends (piers) than her husband does. This idea of Marge’s fondest aspiration is being a ditz or a “blue haired bimbo”.

OK this is another Einstein moment here. You whistle blowers, I know I violated one of the sacred axioms of the theory of relativity by talking about tachions and de-facto hyperspace. I should have said "And then a giant hand reaches down and slows time w a y - d o w n so that Special Relativity remains inviolate. But I didn't do that. I thought maybe I would use logic instead. My bad. Do you want to hear something funny? The whole special relativity formula was come up with by a guy named Lowitz or something, to try and get Maxwell's well established ether theory to hang together. Because of that other Michaelson-Moorley experiment where they concluded that ether didn't act like "wind". There was no "ether wind". This doesn't disprove the existance of ether, but only its manifestation of "wind" like you could measure with a weather vain. So I guess the natural question arises why Einstein would adopt a mathematical formula designed to protect an ether theory that was no longer credible? There is another mistake I have been making for over 35 years with special relativity. We are to ASSUME, no matter WHO we are that wherever WE are is absolutely stationary and IF there is movement, it is movement that slows time down. NO HOW are we to assume that there is ANYWHERE in the Universe where time moves faster than it moves right HERE, wherever HERE is. But suppose we make a mental leap in suspended belief. Suppose for instance if we adopt the axiom "If A is faster than B, this does not preclude B from being also faster than A at the SAME TIME". In like manner "IF B is faster than A, there is nothing wrong with at the SAME time that A is faster than B". If you accept this bit of refutation of classic logic, then the whole theory makes perfect sense. Suddenly instead of the doppler effect (which is only logical) you have time and space expanding and contracting and speeding up and slowing down. What we have in Special Relativity is the adoption of a highly complex theory, to replace a far simpler view of reality people used to have.

US Not Ready for a Black President

You know there are things in life people are just not mature enough for. In Criss Business College they used to tell people "Don't take Accounting II unless you have a rock-solid understanding of Accounting I or else at some point the roof will just cave in on you". In sex education it would be easy to invision (not from any personal knowledge) a situation where a group of kids were just plain "too young" to be told about Sex and the class degenerated into snickering and joke telling and other activities and the teacher loses complete control of the class. It's sad to contemplate that the United States of America is just not psychologically ready for a Black President but we sure do see signs of imaturety all the time. Apparently Marines normally function as security guards for embassies around the world. But in Afghanistan, this job was turned over to a bunch of "frat boys" who, according to news reports, engaged in homo-erotic people with themselves and others. I think we all rememember the poster Laura Schleshenger's son had in his barics, which depicted a soldier forcing another to perform oral compulation at gun point. At this point Dr. Laura's credibility with me went straight to zero, and has stayed there. Of course people usually won't come out and say it's because Obama is Black that they are afraid of him. So they come up with this notion that he isn't really a US citizen and that they can't find his birth cirtificate, and that he was really born in Kenya and all of that. You have the tantrums toese stooges of the right throw at Town Meetings. A few days ago a woman in a wheel chair was angrily shouted down by a mob when she tried to present her problems that she's having. You forever hear these charges of "socialized medicine" and the US government allocating doctor supply. Now the far right is all in a spaz about this message the President is broadcasting to school children next Tuesday, and phones to school board members are ringing off the hook and schools are refusing to let their children see it. What you have to remember is that Obama almost didn't get elected last fall, and probably wouldn't elected had not the economy done a complete melt down just a few months ahead of schedule while President Bush was still in office. Personally I don't see how we are still such a bigoted nation. I remember the line from "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner" where Sydney Portier says to his father, "Untill the dead weight of your generation is off our backs, our generation will never get anywhere". One would have easily thought then that had "The greatest generation" all dropped dead then that George Mc Govern would have won the Presidency in a walk, and in 1968. But that didn't happen. Somehow all those "young people" back then have turned into the grumpy old men and women of today. Maybe they should take co-enzyme Q 10, or a little B 12 and Folic acid or something. I know this. Usually people become less flexible when they are older, and that also means being succeptable to new ideas. But I know one Pastor's son who was already an "old man" at age 23. He took pride in how he was already more reactionary than his father.

So when all else fails, go back to that famous time-line prediction of the spring of 1982. What does that say? It says that any "revolution" or spiritual renewal won't occur till the early 2040's, which actually was then I thought untill quite recently when the Mayan callendar ended. We know they are working on drugs that make the body think it's gotten exercise when it hasn't with a host of beneficial effects. Science doesn't yet know how to manipulate subatomic matter to make it weightless, but they'll figure it out. 2061 is the scheduled date for this. But you want to know what's on tap for right now. A war with Iran, that's what. It could start any time. And according to the scenario the chief protagonist of the war was incarnated at a Japanese citizen in World War II that got A-Bombed, and he's for out and out revenge and nothing will say him. In retrospect the US government will see that it should have been tougher on Iran all along, but too often let things slide untill the crisis was upon us. Polution and global warming, as well as the presence of a military state will be ongoing realities for the next several decades. I will be ninety by the time all of this political darkness lifts. It's not a rosey picture but that's what's on tap.

The Insurmountable Reactionary Tide

This is Thursday afternoon and I just went down for a quick coffee. Randy Rhodes is reporting on all the looneys today. They don’t like paintings in Rockefeller Center. There is one painted in 1937 that is supposedly Musselini propaganda showing a little boy leading horses pulling “engines of industry” and in the back there is a strong, powerful hand on the reins controlling the whole thing. You have women in wheel chairs being shouted down by an angry mob at one of these Town Halls. At eleven I watched a British fill-in for Rush and of course he gets a lady caller from Canada saying how awful their coverage is and how much you have to pay. Republicans to a man seem to believe still that what President Obama wants and the bill contains is a scheme for socialized medicine where the doctors are chosen and allocated by the government and where now they have not only “Death Pannels” but the Obama administration is planning to build 42 concentration camps that will be youth retraining prisons for youths. And yes, Americorps is really like the Nazi SS. The hysteria knows no end. President Obama will be getting on TV a week from Wednesday to at last explain his health care aspirations to the American People. In my book he is several months too late and the damage is already done. The Republicans have won, and now the only debate is how many seats in congress are the Republicans going to pick up next year. According to that Brit, it was key that Obama lose in health care now because with Health Care in place, Conservatives would be helpless to run anything but a pro liberal campaign themselves saying not to eliminate the program but only that they would be able to run it better. The republicans have defined all the terms and framed all of the issues, and they have won. Meanwhile Obama, far from echoing the speeches of Franklin Roosevelt, has instead betrayed the left on just about every conceivable issue, even the ones I don’t agree with the left on like public financing of campaigns or this Union card check thing. Banks only have to pay back two thirds of the money the government gave them. Far from making a profit for the American tax payer, America is losing 33% on every deal. The banks are getting fat and sassy again with high CEO pay. None of the finance regulations eliminated under President Clinton have been reinstated. In other words, there is everything to be discouraged about and I really don’t see any silver lining to any of it.

Apparently the idea that Corporations can't be sued does back to Queen Elizabeth and the founding of the East India Tea Company. With legal protection like this, Rush Limbaugh should be at the forefront of protest because it's he who says, "Actions should have Consequences". But for corporate people there are no consequences for Bad Behavior. They say kids who are never disciplined - turn into self indulgent monsters. I wonder where that puts Giant Corporations such as Banks, Drug and Insurance Companies and the giant Media corporations? Tell me, would you be like Hope Brady and desire to pay off an attempted murderer to the tune of five million dollars? Well, people pay drug companies for drugs that might be killing them. We dump all our E waste in places like China to kill off their population rather than ours. Our biggest import as a nation just might be pollution. All of the great crusader news reporters are gone. We live now only on corporate gruel.

This room is really hot today. It feels worse than if there were no air conditioning at all. It’s a good ten degrees warmer in here than right out in the hall. The AC was working fine up to about a week ago. Today is Thursday September 3, 2009, the day Michael Jackson gets officially interred at Forest Lawn, assuming they don’t change their minds. I don’t think there have been any arrests yet. Why not??

Yesterday someone was saying that the Mayan Calendar doesn’t predict the end of the world but only “a new beginning” and a “restructuring of society”. No offence but I’ve heard this kind of bullshit before. I remember when I was in group therapy in Santa Ana at the turn of the decade of the ‘seventies and Al Kaders said something after a particularly bad session “You may feel like we’re sticking the knife in, but a surgeon has to do this in order to operate to make the patient better”. The only problem is that the doctor doesn’t leave the patient sliced open on the table and walk off. And then there are Church Pastors who in the middle of the worst crisis their church has every faced, chose to walk off and strangely at that moment “God calls them away to a better paying job”. If I were God I would slap these people in the face the first time I saw them. And then there is the line spoken when someone suffers a loss of, “Well God has to take away what you have before he can bestow a new blessing”. How convienient for these pastors that God always does the taking away part first. And now we are told that somehow the world as a unit is going to undergo some sort of rebirth or being Born Again. You know what Bob Dylan said on the subject, don’t you. He said “He who is not busy being born is busy dying”, and there is more than one way to take that line. In another song, Hollis Brown, Dylan sings about a man who just killed himself and his whole family “Seven shot gun blasts rang out. Somewhere off in the distance there are seven new people born”. There is also more than one way of taking that line. Some people are so much into the Born Again stuff there’s not even any need for God. The Jehovah’s Witnesses teach that when Jesus rose, it was merely his spirit that rose from the dead into a new spiritual heaven. Perhaps this is what Nicodemus believed. The problem is that in order for a re-birth to be kosher, you have to have some kind of womb, and a birth canal, and oh yes, the new life organism. All of this appears to be missing from this crowd who talks about the Mayan calendar signaling rebirth. I just laid out for you how our national landscape sucks royally. I don’t see any hope. Even in card games or in dominoes, you get a new deal of the deck in the course of an evening. Only in Risk and Solitaire are you stuck with the same hand you are dealt, so to speak for the entire game. In the game of Risk you may have Commander Data’s expertise with the dice, and still lose royally. I ought to know. I’ve done it. Jesus has said this more often than he has said about anything else on the radio and that is “You don’t get do-overs. You don’t get second chances”. The problem is for a lot of people is that they never got a decent FIRST chance. If you don’t get “This important early breaks in your carrier” to quote from Rosemary’s Baby- - -you’re pretty much washed up in your chosen profession. This is how it is in “Risk”. It doesn’t take a freaking genious to look at the Game Board of the World to see the picture. Like Thom Hartman says the game is designed to keep the people who are on the bottom that way for life. Now we hear of this organization called “The Family” which is a Born Again organization that actually looks down on other Born Again preachers like Pat Robertson as “not elitist enough”. No, no. I was astounded this morning to hear someone on the radio pick up my “bee hive” illustration. He was talking about “recruiting worker bees”. These are they who work their buns off but in actuality don’t know what the hell is really going on. According to what I heard, “The Family” almost seems to want to bring back a monarchy or sorts, and has actually been funded by Royalty around the world. There is one thing conservatives used to not like ever being called and that is to be tagged “elitist”. Most “classic” conservatives believe in a strong Work Ethic. But as you know the elitist Neo Cons of today don’t produce anything, either with their hands or with their intellects, but rather just push paper money around all day, and go home each night thanking God that the tax laws are custom suited to their particular “needs”. (That is – if they think of God at all) I am going to investigate “The Family” a little more and urge my readers to do the same thing.

In summary then I don’t see how “The World” at least the one I’m living in, is at all ripe for any kind of a “rebirth”. Because the reactionary forces are well watered with deep and growing roots, and survive well even during democratic administrations. On the other hand the liberals and libertarians among us are a weak and languishing species, and ill nourished and prone to disease. I think it could be several decades before the world is ready for any kind of the Revolution envisioned by these Mayan Calendar people. You know this morning I couldn’t sleep and got up and went out on the patio and the full moon was out. For some reason a light bulb went off and I realized that thirteen thousand was just about half of 26,000 years. As you know the “great circle” of the polar axis takes 26,000 years to make a grand cycle to which the pole points to, kind of like a top while spinning. The last major civilization they tell us was thirteen thousand years ago when the sun was in the sign of Leo. Now it’s in Aquarius. So summertime now would have been winter time then. So I’m wondering- - are we allowed only two great civilization periods per 26,000 cycle. I’ve done other postings where I speak of evidence (structures) all over the earth point to a civilization 13,000 years ago, which was still in the middle of the ice age. In fact even Ted Armstrong (decades ago) states that there was a sudden and violent cold snap that almost froze grazing giant mammals in their boots, with fresh food still in their mouths. I bet those people probably expected something better too, for their future. We’re all optimists. That guy on KCET who is a “Believe it and have it” kind of person- - might not like the idea that reality can be unforgiving. Reality doesn’t tap you on the shoulder and then say “Oh excuse me. You don’t believe in ME any more. I’ll just go away”. If you want to change your feelings, take drugs; take Prozac. If you want a better reality, sue God. Because we don’t know how much time our planet has. And this is the only planet we got, and if we blow it, it will be our collective fault.

Black Parabolas or "Cheating Infinity"

The other day I was endeavoring to draw potential orbital paths around perhaps a neutron star which would consists coming from the same point of origen a series of hyperbolas that would vault said object near the edge of a "golf course hole" around the rim of said hole, so to speak, and out the other side and each successive hyperbolic orbit would in turn be more angular than the last. Then I would rotate the picture and do a copy overlay of this image turned twenty degrees or so, and keep repeating this process of copying and turning twenty degrees. I thought I would have a nice incricate geometric design in Sketch 7. Instead what I ended up with was a big mess. The whole program locked up and I had to wait several minutes for it to un-freeze. What I learned was that Sketch 7 locks up more easily than Sketch 6, which I still have on my computer.

As you know there are no "Proper" Black Holes in Einstein's Universe. (That's assuming that Einstein created it) If you will remember from our Green Grid exercise a while back, there are no black holes but only Black Parabolas, which go on to infinity. That is, there is an infinity of space before you reach the center of one, which you never do. In Einstein's world, there IS no "event horizon". Here the golf hole metaphore appears to break down because that "event horizon" where the ball swerls around but eventually actually goes into the hole- - - this never occurrs. No matter how carefully you hit the ball the ball always manages to swerl out of the hole. What you have is an elaborate de-facto "worm hole", which aren't as the Star Trek people invision them as but merely a series of potential hyperbolic paths, described in the first paragraph. Of course what you would have is enormous acceleration not unlike that Bajoran ship that traveled to Cardassia, where the Cardassian ships were waiting for captain Piccard at the other end to congradulate him for making a successful worm hole journey. Every time you came near a Black Parabola you would be greately accelerated due to gravity. You would speed way up and slow back down, always to the exact same speed you began your journey at.

Here is where we have a logical quandry. Only people outside the worm hole are allowed to Exit it. If you are already IN the worm hole you have to STAY in it. How can this be? This is where the idea of cheating infinity comes in. There are theorized things that exist called tachions, which can ONLY travel FASTER than the speed of light. Obviously they have to be made of some other kind of matter. But as we have repeated many times, the nature of space surrounding any matter is determined by the nature of the subatomic particles IN the matter, and visa versa. This means that somehow due to the unusual nature of the space you are in- - your atomic mater somehow mutates into a tachion like substance for the duration of your trek through the worm hole, and then once you are again in normal space, it shifts back to normal. All this mental gymnastics is necessitated because Einstein places the "Event horizon" an infinite distance away. What this means in practality is that the size of any black hole would be self limiting, if they exist at all. Because "infinity" is always a finite distance away in Einstein's world.

DISCOURAGEMENT ON THE HOME FRONT

Two nights ago I had a dream. I dreamed it was 2012 and we were voting on President of the United States and every time Joe Byden would come in first, but also in every contest, Senator Tom Harkin would come in second. But they passed some crazy rule that whoever came in second would become President, so that was Tom Harkin who became President. In this dream I discovered I had lost a back pack like school kids use for books, that had been a gift from my deseast Uncle a few Christmasses ago. In the final scene I was in the shower and I slipped on a bar of soap or something and fell flat on my back. Then I woke up. Then I remembered that the part about the missing back pack was no dream, but that had actually happened. So it is that this September first will also be a day of negativity. Of course around here people are always reporting stuff stolen out of rooms. It's spoken in a state of resignation like they never hope to get it back. Of course as you know Monday I smoked hardly any cigarettes. Borrowing them has never been a tougher proposition. It once took me four hours to even buy a cigarette with a quarter that I had. Of course this week I get paid only fifteen dollars, because the checks don't arrive on the first. It's not as bad as the Nothing I was paid last September first, though. But you know not smoking makes you more paranoid and a little OCD. So you check things. Around here you better check often because you never know.

Last night I had a dream where there was this movie out called Grendel of the North, or something. There were this group of supernatural beings that were Atlanta Romulans or something and they were around in the late 'seventies, and they sponsored Blues artists from Atlanta to become famous and there was a rash of them during this period. They had supernatural powers. On a crouded bus you'd see them in their Afros and they would look at you and hypnotize you into giving up your seat. And they had powers to hypnotize you into doing other things. In this dream Marian (no, not "Maid Marian) was Princess of the North Pole or something and her father wanted her to mary one man but she was in love with another man. And Black Bart (my Romulan friend) told me she was also in love with me. Me and her were lovers but I had amnesia and didn't remember. And that Marian secretly fantacised that she could have three way sex with me and that other man her father didn't want her to date. In this movie there was a lot more about these Atlanta Romulans, or whoever they were- - and sometime after 1980 they went away, but they would be coming back - - to take over the Planet, perhaps in 2010. There was also a "soundtrack album" with strange music and all this whispering in it, with the "pre-verb" where you here the re-birb ahead of time, and this voices were saying a lot of strange things. And the album was called "Journey accross the North Pole" or something and it was played around Midnight by the local rock station.

These fires are discouraging. You turn on the news and all you hear is stuff about the California fires, even on the Today show. Of course I'm worried they will knock out the TV transmitters and when the stations come back on the air they won't be broadcasting at full power and I'll have that headache all over again. Nobody at this point is very optimistic. Yesterday they said the biggest one of the fires was only five percent contained.

People are waiting for a pull-back in the stock market. If the market goes up I'll be barish and if it goes down I'll be bullish. My fear as stated in the last posting is that we are "re-inflating the bubble" and that we're headed for another economic crisis at some point in the future where things will be worse than ever and nobody can say when it will be. Just as in May of 2006 even then I knew in the abstract that we were in a Bubble but I didn't have the vaguest idea when said bubble would burst and supposed that it was many years into the future.

Ted Kennedy to be Burried in Arlington

You know that signs of economic improvement can now be seen every day. However it’s been “depressed” so long it’s going to take a lot more good news to get down into people’s psyches so that they really believe it. Most people sense when "a corner has been turned" on an issue, and even in their personal lives sense whether victory is to become a reality or remain just a pipe dream. There are times, even in a person's personal life that they can point to positive "things" but all the while sense that a key battle has not been won. This is the case with Health Care. President Obama blew a valuable propaganda oppertunity to "hit a home run out of the park" during the eulogy of Ted Kennedy today. Now there only remains to sit back back and wait for the inevitable failure that is to come. Home sales have been steadily up for the past several months. Industrial production is up this past month and that is a significant sign of improvement. The stock markets are continuing on their uptrend. Some would say “Don’t buy now; wait for the pullback”. My response to that is that nobody is psychic. The “pull-back” might just never come, and I wouldn’t want to be the last person to turn bullish. But as I said I'm not psychic, especially about soap opera plots. And life is a soap opera. You just have to ask yourself which you are more afraid of: the markets falling apart and free-falling, or getting “left behind” to borrow a page from our Christian friends. Why should you be the last person to be making money? It's kind of like finding a break in traffic to cross the street. If your timing is off you could get run over. Really what is occuring that as Hartman points out, Timothy Geitner is trying to "re-inflate the bubble" only this time it will burst more quickly than the last time. But I don't know when that will be. But when the bubble bursts on the economy the next time it will most certainly be more disasterous for all concerned, just as a second heart attack for a man may kill him if he took no warning from a prior heart attack. (Selah)

A classic liberal would reason “To raise Consciousness of a Problem, one must first become Aware of it. We then presume that Awareness of a problem will evoke Concern. And ethically if you have a Concerned then you need to take some sort of appropriate Action on that concern. Given this line of reasoning, how do you suppose that God Almighty would score on one of these “Liberal” voting tallies?

A lot of people would say of Ted Kennedy’s death “Well, at last he will be reunited with all his loved ones”. This whole thing about “being reunited with your loved ones” when you die is something for which there is not one verse of scriptural support from Genisis to Revelation. You may think you’ve heard “something” about it. There is after all in Revelations when it says of the slain martyra "Wait here a while while I put your enemies under your feet" (or something like that) But if a slain person is told to as it were "rest" or "sleep" then having him talk is nerely a metaphore to get the point accross that God is working out his will, isn't it? In like manner the Rich Man in the parable of Lazerus really wasn't sent to Hell was he, for being stingy. If this alone were grounds for going to Hell a lot of good Christians would be there. No. This is another for being concerned for the poor among us RIGHT NOW, not in the afterlife. Perhaps you’ve heard the verse in Hebrews about “Through faith, women have received back their dead sons”. This verse alludes to the miracles of Jesus, but nobody Jesus ever raised made claims of knowing anything about the after-life. Some may then say “Well it says in scripture that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord”. I won’t dispute that scripture says a soul “will return to God” when you die. But is being “with God” the same thing as reuniting with your family? Chuck Smith once told of someone who asked the question “Will I know my loved ones in heaven?” and Chuck gave the sort of reassuring answer the man wanted to hear. He said, “Of course. You won’t be dumber up there than you are down here, will you?” It’s nice reasoning but will it hold up? I bet a lot of you didn’t know that in a lot of Christian circles they have the “Amnesia doctrine” or some may call it the Lobotomy doctrine. This is the doctrine where if there is anything the least bit either unpleasant or “un-scriptural” about ANY of your personal associates, you simply forget all about these. As you know Jesus gets annoyed when anyone asks him “What happens to unsaved people” or others may ask in concern “What about my unsaved loved ones?” It’s simple. You just forget they ever existed like that “Forgetfulness” cocktail that Moe served Homer Simpson in an episode last week. Not only that but God himself has the power to Will himself to Forget any fact at any time as though it never existed. These are what theological giants such as Billy Graham and Gene Scott believe. You may say “Well, I’ve lived a pretty good life” but Calvin says that “pretty good” won’t cut it. Here is one place where the Perfect does indeed become the enemy of the Good. The pastor of the local Calvary Chapel preached a sermon on the Afterlife once in which for bad people it’s almost as though they weren’t there in heaven though technically they made it in. These churches believe that all people will do is sit around and remonis with fellow Christians about old times they had “fellowshipping in the Lord” so that the more time you spent in religious posturing in your lifetime, the more you will have to remember in the after-life. Some may say “But doesn’t scripture say that we will Know [God] even as we are Known [by God]. Let’s suppose you’re hoping to do some sort of Valcan mind meld with God when you die and somehow assimilate everything He knows. Different forms of Life have trouble relating to each other. For instance would you mind-meld with a caterpillar crawling on a leaf? Or better yet how about mind-melding with the leaf itself. Do you see the problem? God has experienced everything that has ever happened or will ever happen in the Universe all at once in a single moment of time, and perhaps other stuff we are unaware of. How can your mind grasp this? If God has the power- - - shall we say, to do something “Un-God like” as Gene says he does- - you can say “You will Know to the extent that you are Known” but perhaps God doesn’t want to know you. If you’ve heard Jesus on KFI you know there are “certain people who you just wouldn’t care to have for dinner”. And if God doesn’t want to know you, what makes you think you can Know Him?” (Selah)

This is Saturday August 29, 2009 at 1:30 in the afternoon and the little league game has apparently been rained out. It was pouring down there at the field, and may be the same rain storm that affected the weather at Teddy’s funeral as the dignitaries were arriving. I had that on at seven on seven. Since we’re “simocasting” let me just make a few general remarks. Obama did not talk about getting health care passed there at the church when he had the chance. He didn’t speak for as long as I would have figured, but the service was in excess of two hours. I went for breakfast and when I got back at around five to eight the service appeared to be just starting and it lasted till about ten o clock on the dot. The final hymn was “America the Beautiful” missing a verse. The other song they sang was a supposed favorite of Catholics, which is downright Dylanesque in the number of verses. A lot of things were said to make you think, both about Teddy’s life and theologically. The pastor gave a good message. Then some “youngest” relatives gave speeches. Yo Yo Ma played the Cello and Classico Domingo sang tenor. “Ave Maria” was sung. Edward’s son Ted spoke, and he had that Kennedy speech making aura about him as he spoke about losing his leg at age twelve and climbing up that hill in the snow. Then Patrick spoke, who was by his own words the runt of the family, with red hair, and he got to ride “extra” in sailing races. We heard a lot of Teddy’s love of sailing and other strenuous physical activities including ski jumping, if I heard right, and his love of the arts and painting. President Obama admired a sea scape picture in Ted’s office and Teddy said he could have it. Teddy loved debate around the dinner table and often played Devil’s Advocate. There was talk of his personal generosity, and how he loved to sing, if off key. Of course Teddy was friends with conservatives such as Oren Hatch and John Mc Cain. You don’t see that in “statesmen” today. Back in the old days Tom O Neil would sit around and have a drink together with President Reagan to work out their problems. People don’t do that today. They don’t communicate. I think of Christian pastors I have known in the past 25 years and the record is far from stellar. I look at the pastor of the local Calvary Chapel, and I look at Pastor Don. There was a guy who is more shallow than meets the eye. There is the next tier of Pastors such as Louis Monteith and Richard Cathers, who are absolutely people I would not have a drink with. Then you have Bill Halliday. I don’t see among any of them the sort of magnimity you saw in Edward Kennedy in dealing with his political opponents. At ten I went outside and talked to Janet and then Glen awhile. It’s the longest conversation I’ve had with Glen in some time.

I went down stairs for coffee sitting on that swing thing for ten minutes in the sun waiting for Dora to announce it. I just had one cup. Then I listened to Handel on the law, and then at close to ten to the hour I went out for another cigarette, knowing from past experience that commercial break can run seven minutes. I listened to Leo Le Port both before and after lunch. We had chef’s salad with the usual hard boiled egg and crackers, with watermelon bowl. I had two cups of coffee for lunch. I have to get as much of their low caffeine stuff in small cups as I can since I’m of course out of money to buy any. Leo doesn’t like “Snow Leopard” because he says it’s more like a “Service Pack” update and they shouldn’t charge $39.95 for it. I’ve read the same thing on-line however there seem to be a lot of “little” improvements that are worth the price.

Antony never sang “Daddy’s Home” last night at the talent show. I watched Jeopardy switching to NFL football on CBS with New England beating Washington 27 to 24 on a late field goal. I was rooting for Washington. Then it was some NBC crime drams. I slept OK. We had cream of wheat with toast and scrambled eggs for breakfast. The AC in here has kind of quit working. Maybe a little but not like it was the past several weeks. Janet has been more conversant lately. Dora just called afternoon coffee, so I guess I’ll be headed out. Bill already just left. Over and out.

Jackson's Doctor Guilty of Homocide

Michael Jackson's personal physician, Conrad Murry, has now been found by the coroner's inquest, to be guilty of Homicide, or"Death at the hands of Another" as they refer to it. I remember that term from the Reuben Salazar Inquest in September of 1970 here in the LA area. If you don't know the details, first Murry gives Jackson Valium at 1:30 in the morning, and then every hour or hour and a half after that, as sleep eludes Michael Jackson, he piles on other drugs such as Ativan and muscle relaxents, often giving repeat doses of the same drug. But Michael still could not fall asleep and finally Jackson asks for his "milk", which is what he refers to Prophinol as, which is that drug administered by hospital drop and must be constantly monitered all the time. The doctor administers Prophinol and then leaves the patient to take a bathroom break. When he returns the patient is now unconscious. Of course he doesn't call the relavant authorities. Instead he makes phone calls and gives Jackson another drug to try and counteract what he's had. The thing is that Murry lied about all of this. He failed to tell any of the medical authorities this vital information. This right there is a criminal act. The charge under California law will be at least Manslaughter, and lately we out here have redefined what "murder" is, so don't count that charge out. This will be another of these cases which dominate the headlines. And we know how with any case in the Entertainment industry, that defendants seem to live a charmed life, and convictions are hard to come by.

Ben Vernanke has been reappointed to head the Federal Reserve. Some say this was done now to take people's attention off the fact that the projected deficet over ten years will now be nine trillion over the expected seven trillion. Some may say "why quibble over a couple trillion"? It is believed that had Vernanke NOT been reappointed this would have caused the stock markets to fall percipitously. People are arguing over which "letter" best fits this recession. Will it be a "U" recession, a "V" recession - or worse yet, an "L" recession, where the recovery just doesn't come? I don't even know if there is any evidence that the head of the Fed even knows what he is doing at this point. At the "bottom" of the 1982 recession late in the year, the stock market was already making new highs in anticipation. We are nowhere near that now being nearly five hundred points from the top of the market on the D J I. If they continue to cut back things like Social Security checks, this will further depress the "demand" of this economy.

Thom Hartman suggests that if you really want to see action in this economy, to cut the retirement age to 55 and that way all those people would be taken out of the labor market and this would force the unemployment rate down and wages up. In terms of this Health Care situation, what President Obama needs to do is to get on TV and declare war on the Insurance Companies and H M O's. Point out that everyone opposing a publicly funded health plan is acting knowingly or unknowingly as a schill for the insurance companies. Do not let let a handfull of greedy insurance companies dictate what health care will consist of in this country. What we need to do is re-frame the whole debate and take charge of what terms we define our opposition with. The Republicans are pros at this. Instead we have Ronald Reagan speeches from 1962 making the rounds where he uses the phrase "The government wants to Impose "socialized medicine" on a US Population that is perfectly happy with the status quo. They say that having a member of your family mugged will instantly change anyone from a liberal to a conservative. May I suggest that an unforseen medical crisis in a family can just as quickly change a complacent conservative to an agitated, activist liberal. But why wait for disaster to happen before you change? It's pointed out that we in the US ALREADY spend MORE MONEY on health care than anywhere else in the world, but we get a whole lot less for it. But all conservatives see is this bullshit with this guy going to Canadian health care clinics and not getting treatment for tennis elbow, or whatever it is he claims to have.

As you know we are coming up on the four year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina. But there is a case to be made that President Bush's entire response was designed for "social engineering" to rid the New Orleans metropolitin area of Black people. First of all Bush did not shorten his vacation to tend to the hurricane. But on August 27th. apparently before the hurricane even struck, Bush already declared certain counties a disaster area but it was areas in Northern and Western Louisiana but NOT ANY COUNTY most likely to be affected by the hurricane. It would seem that Bush's policy was marked, "For Whites Only". You have heard the investives uttered against the Black and the poor people in New Orleans by Bush's apologists of the far right. And with each passing day they move further and further to the right as new more extreme voices such as Glen Beck rise to prominence. I don't know of any other natural disaster where the victins were referred to as "shiftless" and "lazy". The idea is to clear all the problem Black people out of the city to "Turn New Orleans Red" and to create a new Republican base in the area with construction projects that are designed to cater to the rich.

The CIA tortures people. In previous times the CIA was known as an information gathering agency. We all know about the world of spies and counter spies from the movies. But Bush's CIA had a whole array of torture techniques they employed. They water boarded the same prisoner over a hundred times. They staged mock exicutions. They threatened prisoners with the deaths of their loved ones. In one case they turned on a power drill and aimed it at a guy's head. There is the usual heat and cold and sleep deprivation. Now it seems Eric Holder is going to appoint a special prosecutor to handle some of this stuff, but the juristiction he has will be narrowly prescribed, with little or no lattitude to "expand" any investigations. I am among the many people who feels there is all too much "continuity" between the Bush and Obama administrations. Finding real evidence of change is a lot harder than you would think.

And now for our "Piracy Moment". The following "admission" might as well have been taken from secret ecclesiastical documents in the Pope's vault. But it is taken from that other great "treaties" of our time, Mein Kamph. Here is goes: All this [self deception] was inspired by the principle--[technically] true in itself--that in the Big Lie there is always a certain force of credibility; because the broad masses of a nation are always more easily [subconsciously] corrupted in the deeper strata of their emotional nature than consciously or voluntarily; and thus in the Primitive Simplicity of their minds they more readily fall victims to the BIG lie than the small lie, since they themselves often tell Small lies in little matters but would be ashamed to resort to large-scale falsehoods. It would never come into their heads to fabricate colossal untruths (Selah), and they would not believe that others could have the Impudence to distort the truth so infamously. Even though the facts which prove this to be so may be brought clearly to their minds, they will Still doubt and waver and will continue to think that there may be SOME OTHER EXPLANATION. For the grossly impudent lie always leaves traces behind it, even after it has been nailed down, a fact which is known to all expert liars in this world and to all who conspire together in the art of lying. (Selah)

Finally, in soap land they are pulling a major bullshitting job on us. They are leading us to believe that Bo and Hope's little daughter was gunned to death at the end of today's episode by that rogue cop confirming Hope's worse fears, hiding behind green tarp. Of course they can do "dishonest" editing when they want to, and come tomorrow's episode you're going to find that there's a whole lot of stuff they left out of the story deliberately to mislead you. All I can say to the NBC producers is, "Just be glad that Annie Wilkes is only a fictional character". They have had totally "un-believable" plot twists before such as the utterly looney circumstances of John and Marlena Black's exits from the show.

All Together Now- Pull the Chain!

They said that Obama’s speech would be Reaganesque. I found the beginning of the speech rather too predictable with all the usual Obama buzz-words and catch phrases. Today I did something I’ve been contemplating doing for a week or so. I dialed away from the Nancy Skinner show. If they aren’t going to put Randy Rhodes back on then I’m not listening to that show any more. One viewer apparently described Nancy Skinner as “un-seasoned gruel”. I would have to agree because all of the tag trademarks from the old show are gone now. Just as a word to the wise, any host who spends an inordenent time talking about themselves or reliving their past life is running a risk of losing their audience. I listened to Sean Hannidy and his show was as meaty in the first fifteen minute segment as Nancy’s show was in all three hours put together. Sean has some thought provoking analyses about our President. Right now the Republican reply to tonight’s State of the Union speech is playing. I will say this about Obama’s three goals. We need to spend on energy research. There is no doubt about it. We need to spend money on greening up our infrastructure and our roads and bridges and new transportation systems. But as to the other two prongs of Obama’s plan, we can do without them. Health Insurance reform is one we can take on some day, perhaps in the next administration. We can’t afford it now. Perhaps there will come a day when we can abolish the whole, inefficient HMO system that bilks people out of their money. Still the consensus as I view it- - is that we in the US still get superior health care to most nations, and those who say otherwise are cherry picking the results. As to education- - this is an area appropriately left to the states. I’m one who believes even having a national Department of Education is misplaced. It all stems back down to jobs. If the job market is as healthy as it should be, you won’t need a four or six year college education to get a job. If the employment market were healthy, students would be able to get part time jobs and pay for their own education. I guess my statement to those who say college is more expensive now is, “Deal with it”. I didn’t like the tone of Obama’s remarks waving as it were the bloody banner or “Trade Wars” guaranteed to get a response. I agree with Pat Buchannon today on the Sean Hannity show who said if we don’t reform our trade balance, and begin again to begin producing our own goods, cars and TV’s here, then we have had it as a nation. I agree with Obama’s remarks in saying that if we do nothing about our economic crisis we shall indeed put the problem off on the next generation to pay, and we don’t want to do that. I can’t stress enough the importance is raising taxes on those rich people who are able to pay. Were I president I’d hike their tax rate to fifty percent and not 39%. We are too kind. I fear that Obama is going somehow to be conned into rescinding this tax rate increase in the name of “getting along”. Obama needs to get a back bone. I hope he’s serious about monitoring where all this money goes on the second 350 Billion to the banks. I guess I want to know what specific things he plans to do to “make the banks lend the money they should”.

One area where Obama appeared a little spineless- - and I hope it was just an oversight, was the whole idea of trying not just the “terrorist” inmates of Guantanamo Bay but also their captors who engaged in torture both there and at other “black sites” around the world. Is Obama serious enough to actually prosecute those who violate his No Torture edict? I hope so. You know the whole area of “abuse of power” by the previous administration needs to be addressed, and that means looking into all the violations of the privacy of American citizens. As Thom Hartman has said- - certain deeds are so glairing that a blind person could not help but notice them. I speek of the Don Siegleman affair. Siegelman was cheated out of a re-election and when he sought to run again to get his office back, he was prosecuted by Karl Rove and other political enemies. Apparently Siegleman illegally appointed a man of financial means to a post that paid little or nothing, and this is said to be “financial gain”. Forthermore the man he appointed had been serving in that post for two previous terms. If we turn I blind eye and a deaf ear to the cries of those seeking their day in court, we degrade ourselves as a nation, and shrink from the high ethical goals to which America used to be noted for. Even people demolishing a city to build an entirely new city on the site will not do so unless they are certain that the foundation is sure. We risk such a shaky foundation on anything we do from now on- - or in other words, the past will come back to bite us again and again. Those who refuse to learn from history are doomed to repeat it. Many of the sins of the Bush administration were “enabled” because Bill Clinton refused to continue with prosecutions of the Reagan administration, which were then in progress. Now thanks to the democrats, the office of special prosecutor has been abolished. This is no way to reform government. You know, Granny of the Beverly Hillbillies used to have a saying “Everybody knows the talking comes after the fighting”. What she means by this is you talk to your enemy after you’ve bashed him around a little and given him an “attitude adjustment”. In this state he will be willing to listen- - and not just nod his head at youand kiss you off five minutes later. People can’t appreciate “mercy” if the punishment they were threatened with and seeking mercy from, was never any real threat. (Selah)

I want to talk just a little about that woman with fourteen children. I think the media is beating her up too much. Yes we can agree she most likely has some “mental disturbance” of one kind or another. But you don’t humiliate people in the national media because they suffer from a weakness. Most likely her kids will all or in part be taken from her because both she and her relatives are financially insolvent. She owes $26,000 in back mortgage payments and owes thousands in student loans. What she needs is kindness and understanding. This way after she’s had the proper therapy, she won’t cringe in horror every time she contemplates her past- - and hopefully won’t see a haf dozen videos on herself on the internet.

You know, I’ve been telling you people about Nicole Walker, this woman on the soap opera with the secretly obtained adoptive baby that her husband believes she gave birth to when he wasn’t around. You know, even if you’re a liar and a deceiver, there comes a time when continuing to lie isn’t just “Immoral” but it’s just plain Stupid, and does a disservice to both her and all concerned. Now she’s being blackmailed by an enemy of her husband- - and she’s conceiling that fact too but trying to steer her husband’s business direction in a way against her husband’s interest, and sticking her nose where it doesn’t belong. Now even when she lies the relation with her husband blows up in her face, and he’s suspecting her of seeing yet another man. It would be simpler for all concern to say “Elvis, I’ve been lying to you a long time. We’re not married now and I don’t think we should be married. After your conduct the other night I feel uncomfortable being around you. You’re right. I’m much closer to Brady (the other man’s name) than I am to you. He understands me in a way I knew you never would. Just throw me out of the house and we’ll call it even. I know you’ll let me keep all the money and jewelery you gave me because you know a messy court case would just be bad publicity for you and we both want to avoid that. What do you say, huh?”

In Dreams

There was some associate of George Harrison who last Sunday was quoted as saying "We have always existed" and also "We will always exist". It's a nice conforting belief. I have often stated that there seems no way in natural science to prove this statement. But one might protest that disproving such a statement is not all that easy, either. It would have profound implications for instance to those who believe there is salvation for Planet Earth by controling the population. If there is something cosmic about our appearence here on this planet in human form, then one can argue that one cannot erradicate the existance of any man, born or unborn. Such a belief in pre existance would pose no conflict with Calvinism, but rather, would complement it. Hartman has his belief still that it's the war like peoples that were able to breed the most children and hence warriers to dominate the planet. One could then start an argument that Evolution is the survival of the fittest and so that God using the human process of natural selection has made his will known, particularly if you're a Calvinist and therefore believe there is no logical possibility things could have happened any other way. I had a dream a couple of weeks ago that I was given a series of extensive revelations about the true nature of Man. And that I was planning to make a movie out of it expounding on my beliefs. Part of it stems from the closed portion of the letter "A", which is a mystic symbol for some organization, I just don't remember what. In the closed part of the "A" are all the secrets of the universe locked away. Part of this secret is that the key to the whole Universe lies in each individual atom and molicule in every living being. Indeed, I was going to begin this movie with the song lyric "Without going out of my door, I can know the ways of Heaven". That's what we all want to know is the ways of heaven. In my dream, George Harrison and Eric Claptin (who isn't even dead yet) occupy a superior place in the After Life to that of John Lennon. Part of the problem with death- - if you believe in the existance of "Eternity" is that the Book of Revelation says that not only the material world will be destroyed at the end of days, but Death itself will be done away with. One might argue that there is a logical difficulty in putting an end to that which has a negative existance to begin with. After all in order to have Death you have to have Time, and if you do away with Time, then Death has no power. That's a heavy concept to deal with, I know. Of course some native peoples believe in shall we say pharmicological help in seeking answers to Eternal Mysteries. There is a lot of talk about the year 2012 right now. There is enough material on the internet about the subject to satiate the most voricious speed reader. Besides the Mayan civilization, they go into the beliefs of the Hopi tribe. According to the Hopi, we have already had three cycles of destruction, one by fire, the next by ice, and the last by water in the great flood, with one more cycle to come. There is also a lot of talk about Callendars and something called The Long Count working with numbers of base twenty. The I Ching is even brought into it since 6 x 6 x 64 x 64 makes 26,000 years, which comproses the grand cycle of the zodiac by which the pole which is the spinning "top" of the earth makes one complete circle in the sky. Others might insistist they believe in Eternity because they just "know it". One of Black Bart's favorite adages is "You'll never run away from You". For this axiom to be true, then not even Death can camoflogue who we are. (Selah)

There is a movie called Dr. Fisher of Geneva. This is a movie about a bitter older man who is both mad at mankind, who aren't worthy of him, and also rage at God. He makes the point that while others "Hate" him, he "Despizes" all of them. You can't really Despize a man without personally being hurt by him or his kind, somewhere down the line. It would seem that Dr. Fisher despizes God. Could it be that God despizes mankind? He doesn't just hate us, but despizes us. Is it that God deep down resents human lusts and emotions? On the Jesus Christ show, Jesus admitted to "You know, living a life of perfection was no picnic". One could wonder just how much Jesus despizes the lusts and emotions of man. If one were to dream up an ultimate revenge against God, he would have to pick a form of destruction or "Deicide" that would be most detestable and unspeakable for the Almighty. Dr. Fisher liked to throw a lot of parties for the very rich, his "Toads". He said "The rich have no pride. The poor would never stand for my methods of humiliation. There is a man with an artificial hand, and Dr. Fisher would be a bit, shall we say, blunt, in referring to his disability. His parties in one way or another each would transgress social norms. In the movie "Spellbound" when Leo G Carol turns the gun around and decides to blow his OWN brains out, they had to construct a giant hand and a giant gun, in order to keep the whole picture in focus. I find this fact, shall we say, rather "metaphorical". Of course to impute mental illness to God or even psycho analise God at all some would say "To a hammer, everything looks like a nail". Let me tell you the dream sequence. Dreams are always much more interesting in the movies than they are in real life. There was a man named Dr. Edwards, who was an impostor of the real Dr. Edwards. He saw the real Dr. Edwards being murdered (by Leo G Carol) on a ski slope and the revolver burried in the snow. The new Impostor in his deluded state thought he WAS Dr. Edwards and he was scheduled to assume an administrative job of a Mental Institution by Leo G Carol. Of course all the people who know, knew there was "something off about this Dr. Edwards". You might say he was a mere shadow of his old self. The Impostor Dr. Edwards had a dream in which he was a card dealer in a casino with curtains with eyes all over them for walls, and patients from the Institution went around cutting the drapes with siscors. The dealer dealt the seven of clubs, and then said to the other player "Seven makes 21". At this time the guy he was playing blackjack with showed his cards and they were all blanks. At this time the Owner of the Casino came up and told the man that if he was going to raise a fuss about losing he was no longer welcome in this place. Our Impostor also viewed a skiing slope and saw a shaddowy man with no face drop a wheel, like a karmic wheel, down into the snow. Dreams are a lot easier to figure out when you know the set up. John Lennon, according to this writer, had an impostor stand in for him at various times over a period of several years. Could it be that the "Revolver" album is about the ultimate farce, of God committing suicide? This Impostor as life continued did not do so well because the murder rap was pinned on him though he was not guilty. And of course the real Lennon, er uh- - Dr. Edwards, was now dead. You know, sometimes if you figure out an awful secret the thing to do is to keep it to yourself lest you endanger your very Life. Some may say that the ability to "Talk the violent person out of killing - - " is a valued tallent. You know in the movie "Spellbound" they "cheat" with the special effects. This is a big secret.

I dreamed a week or so ago that I was involved in the making of a video for the Doors. And I was directing people to do this or that to ham up the scene. In one scene I was in some Van where all five (?) of the Doors were. (Perhaps their producer was with them) They were just getting up in the morning. My Dad was in this dream. I was screaming obscenities at him in this dream and I'm not even sure why. Perhaps just because I thought it would go good in the video. Perhaps it was something more. Sometimes you live your whole life not even knowing What you are mad it. Perhaps it's that man behind the wall laughing at the deception he has pulled off. And you're waiting for him to drop the karmic wheel so you can pick it up and become the dealer and be a winner for once. Tie always goes to the dealer. Well, it's just a thought.
