For the Very Rich- It's a Question of Manhood - Not Money

I’d like to note a quote that was on the Randy Rhodes show today.  She said that for rich multi millionaires it’s not about the money any more, it’s about proving their manhood.  And as we know from the Simpson’s the way bullies and oppressive people “get points with their pier group” is to oppress or beat up the most defenseless, helpless person they can find.   So this abuse of poor people is sort of a male macho thing for men over fifty or sixty.  One multi millionaire said that they ought to bring back the “Jeffersonian” requirement that you have to own property to vote.  And he also said “If you pay one dollar in tax you get one vote, and if you pay a million dollars in tax you get a million votes, and he was serious!  Then there is this case where Tennessee Senator Corker, went to the VW auto plant to try and influence the ongoing secret ballot elections as to whether the auto plant should unionize with the United Auto Workers.  He went around promising the workers, falsely, I night add, that the company will begin production of SUV’s in that plant if they don’t unionize and that it will mean more jobs for them.  The Volswagen plant refuted this claim and the Volsewagen corporation expects the plant to unionize because all of their other plants are Unionized around the world.  Senator Corker is probably in violation of Federal racketeering laws in either intimidating or misleading or pressuring people as they vote.  But old fashioned bullying is what the tea party has been reduced to now.   You know some people on the right used to say that- - this whole “Occypy” movement was “coveting they neighbor’s goods” and these people were in a state of ongoing sin who couldn’t just accept the fact that the rich were rich and they were poor and that’s the way God intended it or whatever, and for them to just “submit” to this reality.  But clearly it’s the rich who want to steal what little the poor have left now.  They used to say Citizen’s United gave Unions as well as corporations rights to “free speech”.  The one thing wrong with that is that Unions are becoming all but an extinct species now.  Then the argument is advanced that “We no longer need the unions now and that’s why they are vanishing”.  “We are in a post Union age, just as we are in a post racial age”.  Of course this is wrong on both counts and the fact is that life for the average worker HAS suffered with the decline in power of the labor unions, most contrary to what this caller was trying to argue that somehow “non union shops pay almost as much as union shops”.  Even if this were true, it’s only because the presence of a Labor Union puts upward pressure on all wages and working conditions.   I hope this clarifies a few issues for those of you on the fence.

I listened to Rush Limbaugh and I guess he was interesting.  He said a couple of things we should well note.  First of all Rush Limbaugh hasn’t changed.  He’s always been a hateful person hating minorities, environmentlists, liberals and the whole lot.  This isn’t new.  He just knew how to disguise himself as an “entertainer”, which is what he pegged himself in the early days.  Chuck Smith wasn’t different in the early seventies than today.  He was just a lot better at disguising himself in the early days.  So Rush spoke the truth when he said “I won’t change for anybody.  I’m not going to modify my position on the undocumented alien vote just because other conservatives are changing their and now criticize me.  Because I know they really don’t believe what they are telling the media now, but are only “going soft” on illeagels because the Media expects it of them and they feel pressured to do so”.   That’s what Rush said.  He also pointed out a highly prophetic article in January of 1995.  This Time article was time when the main stream media still had a little spunk and stood up for their principles, unlike today.  They had some magazine cover showing Rush’s face distorted into a scowl surround by clouds of blue cigar smoke.  They said people like Rush Limbaugh were dangerous on the radio because he’s telling the uninformed how to vote by propagandizing (and lying) to them.  “This is a dangerous sign in American politics”.   But also the internet was seen to come along and various on-line venues of self expression could make the situation in future decades much worse.  The article also stated “Unlike in the past the far right wing radio call in shows - - have real POWER today because their words are picked up in the media as Gospel in ways that it never was before.

Well, it's Valentine's day evening and it's warm and there is a full moon out tonight.  Love is in the air and all that.  However - - strange doings are occurring in various State Courts.  In Utah a judge all but legalized polygamy in terms of family living, legatimizing a man with four wives and scads of grandchildren.  He considers it his right as an American to live like this, even if it's a way of life shared by religious cultists for over a century leading to child neglect, and child abuse.  Meanwhile it seems that Courts in four states have mandated gay marriage.  These four are all red states, Kentucky, Virginia, Oklahoma, and Utah.  It would seem to me that there is going to be riots and uprisings in these four states, since these Court rulings are so counter to the pervailing cultures of these four states.  Days of our Lives regailed us with a homosexual proposal of marriage.  I imagine this must be some kind of TV first.  Maybe I'm just behind the times.  This to me has become an upside down Orwellian world where people who are entitled to rights under the constitution have none- - but those who have always been regarded as fringe interests are now given rights on a massive scale nobody even dared imagine as little as a decade ago.

This merger between Comcast and Time-Warner is absurd and must be stopped.  Both of these communacations giants just control too much of the market.  I was schooling myself in the ways of these giant mega-corporations this afternoon in Wikkipedia.  Starting with Buckley vs Vellejo back in the seventies this idea of money is "free speech" has gotten out of hand.  Clearly our whole democratic way of life in Americ is now in jeopardy.  I've said it before but to keep our collective sanity there is going to have to be some sort of Revolution to "put things right" again.  I see no way of it happening through the normal electoral process because that has become hopefully corrupted.  What sounded like fringe rantings, perhaps even to me decades ago- is now downright prophetic.  We've all seen the movie "Network".   We've listened to advocates of taking all private money OUT of the election process and having only public money campaigns.  I think what some liberals are saying now is true.  If you quiz people in EVENTS and specific ISSUES they will side with the liberals a whole lot more than people like Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh think, at least publicly.  It will kind of be like Egypt.  They had a democratic election several years ago - - but the fruit of that election yield at first only broken promises- - then ineptitude- - then corruption of the governmental process- - and finally to outright oppression of the average citizen.  As such any force or Revolution that would overthrow said government would be welcomed by the people at large.

Two Days Ago - - -

After Sean Hannity I was largely in a blue funk just walking around the building and smoking more cigarettes than I should.  I went downstairs to see if Dr Messina were here today, and it was just my luck that he was not.   If Mary Jane won’t respond to a problem of the magnitude of the past day, what are my odds of getting her to respond to much more minor problems in the future?   I watched ski jumping at the Olympics for about an hour.  I thought I heard they actually refrigerated that sky run, which is funny.   It’s like selling ice cubes to an Escamo whose igloo is melting.  We had a major breast of chicken for dinner, plus ample yams, and corn.  We had green Jell-O for desert and I had Owen’s bowl.  We had hot dogs for lunch and some slaw salad and potato chips.  We had pea soup and a banana for desert.  I had Randy Rhodes on briefly at noon but then remembered that the soap opera was on – so it was only a few minutes.  Listening to liberals is no relief for me either because though Stephanie and the gang laugh and whoop it up having fun- - the state of this nation is very “un funny” when you come right down to it.  I’m sure there were people on the Titanic who knew the ship was sinking and just ordered another round of drinks.   But I know if I step up my Resperidol to 1.5 milligrams- - the real world won’t change a bit.  The full moon will be on Friday.

Being Redefined by Events, Seen and Unseen

"Joseph,  How does the heading "My Worst Day at Lost Endeavors Guest Home" grab you?"

"I don't know - it seems pretty Gloomy to me."

"You know your cat has got nine lives - nine lives to itself - you've only got One - and a Dog's live ain't fun - - Mama, take a look outside!"

Sky gazers asking questions - seeing what the stars are Doing - - They receive a major warning  - - to try and save them from Ruin

And now the punch line to an old Joke.    - - - - - and then God cut off the fourth and final leg of the frog - - and he said "Jump! - - - Jump! - - " and writes down in his note pad "Frog goes deaf".

We're just Peachy with our black humor these days, aren't we?  I wanted to talk more about this Venus reestablishment of forward motion thing.  I've been redefined, at least with my relation to the staff and the playing rules, which have Changed.  It's not a healthy situation at all.  If I knew any lyrics to "Model Citizen" by Alice Cooper I would quote them here.  But let's talk about this Com Cast and Time-Warner cable merger that's on the fast track to conclusion now.  This Nor-Man Gold-Man guy on the Chicago station was talking about after three today, after I got off the phone to my Mom.   It's like with XM and Sirius sattelite radio a few years back.  It's the two biggest corporate giants in a given venue of service getting a virtual monopoly of customers.  Time-Warner and Comcast argue in Court that "While we monopolise the Cable market- - there is still internet live streaming and sattelite and over the air TV.   Norman counters that Time-Warner is also involved in a whole lot of other communication venues besides Cable TV.   Norman does not like all of this corporate consolidation.  They used to have many phone company options.  Now we are down to four and they are threatening to go lower.  President Obama shows no inclination to repeal Health Care but rather like a Captain he is choosing to go down with the ship, and take most of us with him in the process.  Clearly this health care thing "redefines all the relationships" in the health care industry and government like the perverbial cammel has stuck its nose under the tent flap, and now wants to intrude further.  At this point I see nothing good by governments continued involvement because it's doing to solve any of the basic problems in the health care insurance industry, but can only interfere and complicate - and make things worse.  This Trans Pacific Trade agreement is something the media STILL is not talking about, and I am not at all assured that the Republican congress won't pass the thing out of some trans-global internalist trade agenda of the tea party, which they don't even have the honesty to admit.  It looks like a good way for the President to "make nice" to the tea party and score brownie points with them.

Joe Drisco says they have a major "smog problem" in Denver these days, but it's a haze of marijuana smoke, because all of the stoners will be headed there this summer.  I said, "Oh, then I guess it will be like the Secomd Coming of the Heit Ashberry days".   Here is a rock trivia quiz just to test whether you were a genuine Stoner with a capital S in the sixties.  As you know songs have musical "bridges" in the middle.  So does the RS song "Dandelion".  Convince me you were there.  Name the instrument used in the solo lead of the song "Dandelion".  The Beatles thought this instrument was too strange even for them.  It got used but one time in a looped track in "Revolution No 9".

Some things in this Venus cycle - - go by unnoticed at least in any foreseable "Redefining Event' in my life.  Two of these astrological formations were in fact favorible to me- both interestingly in September of many decades ago - - 1967 and 1975.  In 1967 I entered the High School year as a Senior and that's always an ego boost, at least initially.  And in 1975 I started Golden West sound engineering in early September.   And in November of 2010 this was a favorible period.   Not only did I get my good Camera, and also money for Christmas (a week early) but also it was the advent of Dana and his fifty cent coffee for a large cup, and this favorible climate had been around some weeks already before I learned about it.  I also found Dana to be a positive and enlightened person, and someone I learned a lot from.

April of 2009 was another of these "key dates".  Now kiddies, can any of you students think what event may have occurred in April of 2009 - oh - right around tax day, that might have been a new mennacing Deception that would stir up all of out lives and consciences so that never again would we be the same?  We have of course yet another of these pivot dates of November of 1994.  Of course this is when the House of Representatives went Republican for the first time in forty years.  Who would have known then what a truely precedent setter this was.  To paraphrase a saying "You don't know what you've got - - till quite some time after you lose it".   Clearly there was a "warning shot" of what these Republicans were all about with the famed "Shut Down" of government one year later in 1995.  But this shut down was far less serious as far as I can tell because I learned that the Communacations bill was signed in February of 1996, which is another of those things like the Trans Pacific Trade Treaty that the Republicans couldn't wait to come to a major accord with a President of the other party.  This communacations reform bill might just be the Worse single piece of legialation in the past fifty years.  We live with it and suffer the consequences of it every day in the "Ignorance Enforced by Law" now on our national Media.  But just think - - no matter how BAD Ronald Reagan was at his worst- - the threat was tempered knowing that Hell Itself would freeze over before he ever got the House.  And this was a major solice indeed.  But I never thought what happened a few days ago - - not just the event but the oh so troublesome Aftermath - - that may cast a shadow, as long as I continue to stay here.

I want to conclude by returning to one final thing we already discussed- - .  Since John Lennon cannot speak for himself I would like to speak up for him.  John said "The Beatles were really fun and good times and all that but the only problem is that we stayed together two years too long.  If we'd broken up two years before we did, it would have ended a lot better".   Since the official break-up as the group knew it was in September of 1969 this takes back to our old friend September of 1967.  While Lennon and the other Beatles may have been initially intrigued by the Maharishi, John and me are alike in that we are intrigued by things for a while- - but that doesn't necessarily mean we want to be "married to them" in any long term contractual relationship.  John writes in the song "I'm so tired" how weary and stressed out he is, and how he can't sleep and his mind is going overtime.  I think he knew he was here in India and there was this "Presence" that was now making decisions in his life.  First it was Paul and now it's the Maharishi.  John wanted to be free to leave and make his own decisions - - not George, not the Maharishi, not Cynthia.  The whole "Sexy Sadie" thing was an OUT for John Lennon.  It was the incident, his Ticket out of the so called Comittment.  That's what a lot of us need to look for, who feel trapped in something or by some One - - our "Sexy Sadie" moment.  That point where you say "This is impermissible.  This will not Stand".   With President Clinton of course, that moment never came.  People didn't care.   It's like if Nick Fallon went to the police and brought his bird watcher witness with him - - and told the Cops everything that had happened to him - - he'd have every right to doubt the outcome hearing the words in his mind "Oh Nick, you're just a pain in the ass.  You've got no friends here - - Nobody Cares- - just get out of here".  And if Nick were smart he's never want to see Salem again.  But Nick likes to Play with Fire in ways I wouldn't advise.

If It Can't Be Fixed - Jumk It

Clearly enough time has passed that we now know "beyond any reasonable doubt" that The Affordable Card Act passed by congress in March of 2010 is completely unworkable.  You remember what Nancy Pelosi said about the act when it was passed.  She said "We have to pass the thing so we can read it and find out what's in it".  Congress these days - - and there is no political bias in this remark, seems to be passing bills nobody has read, or else laced with last minute poisoned pen last minute amendments - - but in general congress does not do their job.  Not when they only work about a hundred days a year.  I've heard they virtually NEVER work more than three days a week, if we're lucky.  Tax payers pay their salaries, so before they ponthicate about "free stuff" for people tired of their full time jobs- perhaps they'd better look at themselves.  With every Federal Holiday, and George Washington's birthday is next week- - they take a whole week off- - and John Boehner seems insistent on every bit of vacation time congress has a right to - - be taken regardless of the circumstances or the general chaos our government is in.  Clearly the Health Care Act is unworkable and needs to be scrapped.  If it can't be fixed- - start over and get a new one.  This is what people, even me were saying back before the bill was even passed about "starting over with a blank piece of paper".  Reading a couple of Judy’s E mails, it seems not only are rates for many jacked up sky high and deductables may be higher, but the quality of care drops, as insurance companies spread themselves so thin with diverse services it “feels more like a government healthcare plan” like they have in Canada, which there are many complaints about.  Cardiologists or urologists are harder to come by and you may end up driving many miles to see one and appointments get stacked up with long waiting times.  Also the enrolement snaffoo only gets worse.  The problem hasn’t “worked itself out” in these passing months as liberals and Obama assured us.  Now I hear that new enrolement numbers for most state exchanges have dropped way off this month after peaking in January.  The “experts” said this would not happen.  They promised a gathering snow-ball effect of more and more people happily joining as time passed - - up to March.  It was Martin Luther King who said "Every time we come to congress with a problem we are told to Wait - - but the time for Waiting is passed.  We don't need some kind of a third world health care system in America.  I guess the words of the old song are true, "You don't know what you've got - until you lose it".   You can talk about the tea party ego but Obama's Ego is a large part of the problem itself, but this is a trait about his own personality that he's never been willing to recognise.

Sean Hannity today said that this is a dire time for America, and in this one thing I agree with him on.  Thanks to the tea party’s concerted effort over five years perhaps preceded by decades of planning, America is now a mess, economically, sociologically, and in so many other cultural ways.  But I’m also mad at Obama for not admitting that “If I can’t solve this problem then I’ll just turn the job over to someone else, who CAN.  As such I am also pretty angry at President Obama for his failure to recognize his own incompetency, due to ego pride, and all of that “Yes We Can” bull crap.   Today was “The Worst” day on Days of our Lives”.   I mean it was the sickest of the sick- - and Days of our Lives has had a lot of sick, depraved episodes but nothing can compete with that of yesterday's episode.  It’s worse than Orwellian what’s going on on that show now.  Six people who are conspirators to a murder are ganging up on the victim, who turns out not to be dead because he was rescued by someone who actually Cared- - unlike the six of them.  But they want us all to think that Nick Fallon is the big bad perpetrator and the six of them are collectively “victims” of his so called “blackmail”.  It’s utterly sickening and so utterly morally reprobate, what depraved mind came up with this plot?  It could all be a cleaver "reverse psychology" guimick to actually get us all to hate Gay People.  As such that Campaign has worked more spactacularly than they could ever imagine.  When you think of gay couples now you think of Will Horton and Sunny Kiracus- - just like when you hear the name of Jesus Christ you think of Neil Savedra- - it's his voice you hear- - and it's his personality that dogs you when it comes to spiritual matters.  Great going!   Just in general if you are going to elevate a person or persons to prominance- - they as it were are to set a Good Example for your corporation or whatever cause you are advocating for.  If they don't their presence is counter productive and doing Injury to whatever cause you deem to be championing.

The Today Show is talking about all of these rare Treasures from the Romanoff period of the Russian Czars- - - - treasures too rate to even assess in value are held by the Kremlin.  Russia has a lot of cultural history.  They just said on NBC that Vladamir Lenin was the son of a Nobelman.  It's kind of like the Vatican and the vast treasures of the Coman Catholic Church.  It's all just as John Lennon said long ago "- - and you think you're so cleaver and classless and free- - but you're still fucking peasents as far as I can see".   The people are kept poor and are sold this fairy tail propigated by people like St Paul in the Bible - - or else Gus Hall of the Communist Party or whatever that "In theory you are really free- - - in theory you are really rich". Of course if hidden cameras existed back in the middle ages- - you can bet the Catholic Church would have employed theese, too.  People see themselves as "The enforcer" out to give people they regard for their own "psychogenic" reasons (to get fancy on you) as suspect- - YOU need to be kept an eye on- - because you might be a Queer - - or "saying things in secret" - - or a Witch- - - or maybe you've sent encrypted E mails- - which makes you an instant suspect right there.  Well I have "theory" for all of you "In theory - - you can just Kiss My Ass!".   How dare this Ego-maniac, the Chris Christie of the East-  - - deem to hold the Olympics in a locality clearly neither suited nor prepared for such a venture- - all because HE wants it there- - - and apparently a lot of people were "bought off" to insure that the Olympics WERE there.  As such the Olympics as an institution are in jeopardy of losing all moral credibility as an institution.

I had Ed Schultz on after Stephanie sticking with the Chicago station on Media Player.  Ed talked about this and that.   Would you rather have an oil tanker on fire, or a pipeline on fire with an endless supply of oil.  Would you rather have a container- - or constant abrasive motion from the grittiness of the oil wearing against pipe joints?  And would you rather see a finite amount of oil spilled on the surface of the ground- - or a potentially infinite supply of oil leaking into the ground that may go undetected for days, and all that while it’s causing geologic instability and poisoning the water table and an “excellent choice” of carcinogens?   Just in case you don't get the drift of these remarks- - in addition to having an avidly pro pipeline bias- - Ed has an anti railroad bise.  He says "Incidents have increased seven fold in 2013" or whatever.  Did Ed ever stop to think that one Possability is- - that these Rail transports are being sabotaged perhaps by Trans-Canada pipeline advocates?  I went out for coffee and Jim came over and talked to me a bit about how he’ll be knocking on all of the doors during the fire drill.

Actually I checked in with NBC and fortuitously the Soap Opera for today was on, as it had been yesterday.  Then I got on line and watched yesterday’s episode, which I had missed, to catch up.  The big pay off came when that drug doctor - - gave Nicole two cryptic clues.  The one involved “There’s a leak in the boat” and the other was “34 – 75 – 15 Hike!”   After the drug guy had fled- - Nicole looked at the picture of the boat hanging on the wall and noticed there was a bullet hole in the boat.  Nicole probed around and discovered that there was a wall safe behind this picture.  She took down the picture and remembered the numbers the guy had said and use them to work the combination of the safe and it opened right up.  Inside were all sorts of just the sort of documentation she needed to put the guy away for a long time- - for drugging a Priest- - and what all.
