You Know What To Do

Some phrases in the English language are absolutely pregnent with meaning and this is one of them. The FBI alledgedly told Martin Luther King "You know what you need to do" when the implication was that he should commit suicide. One has the feeling Sean Brady just "Figured out what he had to do" to atone for his tormented contience. Only time will tell. "You know what to do" should have been the 42nd. song on an EMI beatles album. As you know there is the "black out square" on the "Hard Days Night" album and people want to know what it means. The song should have been a song already in first draft by George but apparently they "ran out of time" and couldn't spare the few hours it would have taken to polish the song so they didn't use it. Those into numerology and cybernetics know that the number 42 is one zero one zero one zero. One and one and one makes three. Do you know what the actual 42nd. Beatles song is? "No Reply". Some people when told by a priest or Dr. Laura or Jesus Christ "You know what you need to do" give by way of response "No Reply". I can't say as if I blame them in a lot of cases. Today that blind priest talking to Sheridan on "Passions" was chastrizing her for "Impure motives". But it's my guess that if the "impure motives" card were played on the Catholic Church it would be doomed literally from the moment it was conceived (note the double meaning) and the original scriptures were compiled. You know Jesus Christ said something interesting last Sunday. He said, "There IS no such thing as Spiritual Goodness". I was going to call this file, "Did you really mean that?" People say things they don't mean because they want to win an argument. It it believed by many on Judgement Day that we will all "Know what to do", that we will all know instantly "where we stand" with eternity. (Selah)

I wonder if George Bush "Knows what he needs to do" right now. He must be wrestling with the idea of whether to end the Iraq War or not like everyone is telling him to, or else to persevere on his own. I have this dark suspicion that our President "Hears the Voices" but they aren't the ones that lead tword a rational decision. All these Republican congressmen and senators are turning against their president. Another rejected choice of blog title was "Time IS an Object" because so many Christians say "Time is no object". Time is always an object as long as we live here on planet earth, and for most rational scientists, that is "All There Is". It would seem that time is clicking down on our troops because they are saying that this Surge can't be pursued past April of next year and at that time troops will have to be withdrawn. If this is so you can expect our president to be forced to withdraw kicking and screaming all the way like Lucas Roberts in the middle of coitus. I guess the question is what does it take to get the President off? He's lived this whole eight years of the adminestration for the propigation of corporation profit and oil revenues. It seems that if we left Iraq could use their oil resources, which are under utelized, to build up the infra-structure of their nation. There is a no confidence vote scheduled for the Meliki adminestration later this week, and if that happens, our cause in Iraq really be in shambles. You know today is a dubious sixth month anniversary. (another rejected title) If you will remember after the disasterous election the President told us that he had plans to make a major speech just before Christmas of 2006. But this date kept getting delayed and it was finally delivered apparently on January tenth 2007. This is when "The Surge" was announced, and we were informed it would take four to six months and then we'd know. But none of the "bench marks" we set for the Meliki government of Iraq have been met. This is the report being given to congress. So if the surge is a total failure we don't have to wait for Gen. Petrayas to give his September evaluation in two months. We already know the score. People have been saying that August was going to be a really bad month. Why don't we end all the future sorrow before it happens? I guess that Gravell guy said "Besides all the lives we've already sacrificed, just think of the lives that are Going to be sacrificed if we don't act to end the war now?" Is it too big of an abstract concept to think of Future consequences of our actions?

I've been getting vibes lately that somehow all this "Congressional Investigation" stuff is all going to go away. It's like watching a soap opera or a series you're really fermiliar with and no matter what is happening in the plot-line to this point, you know the ways of the Author and because you know the Author you can infer certain impossabilities that are virtually certain to happen ahead of time. I guess it's a case of Murphy's law, "What ever can go wrong (or right, depending which side you're on) will go wrong (or right). Sometimes you don't know HOW something will happen, only THAT it will happen. If there is one Great Truth I have figured out it's that we are no longer in the Watergate era and this is not the mid 1970's. We don't know what "Event" will come along to take our minds entirely off these investigations. You're the President of the United States with a lot of power. What would you do? The Annie Wilks in me likes things to make sense. I like to see continuity of history. But sometimes history comes in Jerks and not in a rational flow. (double meaning again) Sometimes in a soap opera things look like good will come and the bad guys will be caught and put away and good will prosper. But it doesn't happen that way. Some JERK intervenes into history and uproots things. I'm telling you this now so that when it comes you won't be surprised. If the democrats had had any balls President Bush would have been Impeached by now and on trial for his reputation in the Senate". We are told of all the back room deals made in 1999 or so, "If Bush ever became President". I guess we have to ask what back-room deals are being made right Now?

Well, the Boeing 787 is rolling off the assembly line. The plastic plane, which as Thom Hartman points out, was made all over the world. Everywhere except in Seattle. If you tape it it sounds like plastic. It gets twenty percent better fuel efficiency but is stronger and more durable than aluminum and doesn't corode like aluminum does. It seems to me a couple good blows with a hammer would do it in. Well, we all wish Boeing aircraft the best and hope it works out.

Thom Hartman clarified his oppinion on the Fairness Doctrine, since Stacy Taylor said he didn't agree with the Fairness Doctrine. It seems that other things like the purpose of a Corporation in the US is more important. It used to be law that the first artical of incorporation had to be "To Serve the Public Good". Now the first article is "To make big proffits". I must say the former requirement will certainly make for a more moral society. The trouble is Christians associate morality with sex, AND NOTHING ELSE. And TV networks used to have a separate News division that's separate from their sales and entertainment divisions. Therefore a news story could not be corrupted by pressure from a sponsor. The station manager could just say "You can't interfere with the News, that's the Law". No more. Reagen changed all that and what Reagan didn't abolish by way of FCC regulations, Clinton accompolished in 1996. When you scratch President Clinton, his liberal credentials are rather thin. I guess Michael Moore got in a shouting match with Wolfiwitz or something over at C N N. Liberals need a propagandist like Michael Moore to counterballance the onslaught of "Info-tainment" we get from the Conservative media. I'll support any Presidential candidate that will correct these wrongs.

Of course they're saying that President Bush should give up those E mails involving the firing of prosecutors. Also the President is believed to be involved in "Cageing". Let's just review what this is. It's disenfranchizing voters, mostly democrats. They get a notice in the mail saying to return some form to the registrar of voters, and if they don't they are taken off the voting lists even though they may be either students away at college or else troops fighting over in Iraq. I think we start to nail down specific criminal impeachable acts the President and Vice President have done. Of course the phrase "Executive Privelege" does not appear in the Constitution. The opperative word there is "Privelege". It isn't a "right" but a courtessy extended by congress to the executive branch. Larry Elder and Hannity and others say we need executive privelege or else "Frank and honist communication in the oval office would be styfled". And yet the President doesn't mind his people talking, just as long as it's not under oath and on the public record. The Supreme Court in 1974 with Nixon said executive privelege wouldn't hold if a criminal act were suspected of taking place. That should end the debate. I should end this blog pretty soon, but first I want to include some of the foregoing stuff:

Today is the sixtieth anniversary of the Roswell UFO landing incident, and tourists gathered there this weekend. The way I hear it it all revolves around some fabric that was found that was silvery and of amazing tensil strength and you couldn’t cut it or burn it, and it was nothing like anybody had in 1947. Of course Christians disbelieve in any Space Alien civilizations altogether and disbelieve as an article of their Faith. After all scripture says Christ died for the sins of this world, and this world only.

There is more violence in Iraq with bombing attacks where they aren’t used to having them. And now there is a no confidence vote scheduled against Melicki by parliament next week. Let’s pray to God they don’t succeed or we’ll be in Iraq till the end of the next decade. Things are chaotic enough as they are.

Congress is planning to investigate the Bush pardon of Scudder Libby last week but my guess is they’ll chicken out. I wouldn’t put it past the President that some National Emergency is going to be “scheduled” for sometime this month to knock this investigation off the tracks. Who wants to place a bet?

This government was going to schedule a major raid into Pakistan to try and rout out the number two man in Pakistan but we don’t want to risk bad relations with their government. It’s another shaky contingency we have to worry about.

Bottled water is now considered not ecological and now the “finest restaurants” no longer offer bottled water. When you think about it the idea of drinking bottled water is an absurd ecological hypocrisy. There’s all the plastic that goes into land fills but there’s also the oil consumed in ships to bring the water over from France to begin with and also the petroleum products involved in manufacturing the plastic.

They said this will be New York’s first heat wave since last August. The northeast has consistently been cooler than the rest of the nation.

We need a question in that “Pyramid” game show, “Things that mysteriously disappear”. Like Nicole Walker. She was on the “Days” soap opera for years and the last we heard she was competing with Samantha for Austin’s affections. She was trying to be his girlfriend and win his love and I think she was sent out on some assignment or something- - and was never heard from again. Then we have Richi Cunningham’s older brother, Chuck. He went out to play basketball and was never heard from again. He just “slipped away quietly in the night”. Then we had last night’s crab salad. It was on the menu, but we didn’t have it. This morning I ran into a real “trifecta” of disappointment on the radio stations on computer. WBFX and KCFX, two “fox” stations from Grand Rappids and Kansas City, respectably, don’t come in now, along with KUPD near Phoenix, Arizona. You get those annoying “file missing” indicators you never got before. The same thing happened with KHTS or whatever from St. Louis, Missouri. Then we have a couple of Bob Dylan albums, “A Fool Such as I” and I believe the Ronaldo and Clara soundtrack. These were not listed in an official list of Bob Dylan albums. Are you saying I imagined them? And then we have the Rev. O. L. Jaggers. His messages were flooding the air waves and he claimed he had “conquered the fources of aging and death”, along with his wife, the lovely Miss Velma. Then he vanished from the air waves. There was no news of his death, not that that would stop anybody. A lot of people remember the proposed Huntington Beach Freeway. They had four routs proposed. Although to be fair I did hear news that was officially canceled. There is that tape of my grandmother around Thanksgiving 1964 and there is a passage “Oh, I was going to tell you what happened today when I went to pick up my groceries”. She never got around to saying and I never heard the story. That’s one thing I’m going to ask her in heaven. Then there is the “Get Back” album that origionally was going to feature the cover of “The blue album” with the Beatles looking over that balcony. Then there is the Zodiac Killer. Was he myth or reality? Never caught. Then there is candidate for Vice President, Thomas Eagelton. What ever happened to him? Then there’s the inheritance my mother was going to receive from her older cousin, as the only surviving most immediate relative. News of that disappeared. Then we have Fred Thompson’s run for the Presidency. He seems to have disappeared off the radar screen after boldly saying he was going to announce in early July. I think the Guiliani people must have gotten to him saying “the fix was in” already.

Back in the mid seventies there were roomers that the next Catholic Pope to be chosen would be a liberal or at least a radical departure from the usual because the composition of the denomination was changing. Well, we’re still waiting for that moderate-to-liberal pope. Women haven’t fared too well in the disappearance routing. How many remember the Equal Rights Amendment? Then there’s the Susan B. Anthony dollar and the more recent Sacageui dollar. Now they’re saying they’re going to stop minting pennies because of the price of copper, but I remember the same story running in 1974 and it still hasn’t happened yet. There seems to be some sort of conspiracy against women in terms of coinage. What about episodes seven, eight, and nine of the Star Wars series? We’ve been waiting thirty years but for some reason they never got around to doing these. There are roomers that a key figure, perhaps Harry Potter himself, is going to die in the final Harry Potter story. There was talk about some new laser beam system for TV’s with way superior color. Some TVs get shown for years in these electronics shows but never get produced. Remember when they said that nuclear electric power would be so cheap they wouldn’t evem meter it because it was so plentiful?

The thing is, we can expect a lot of other traits of our government and rights to be a fading memory. Even if a Democrat gets elected next year I predict no aspects of the Patriot Act will be repealed. Even if a Democrat is elected none of the NAFTA treaties will be undone. Corporations have too much power and are in love with the status quo. Even if a democrat gets elected don't expect the global warming situation to improve much, if at all. This whole world wide concert business on seven continents is causing more polution and "carbon footprint" than it's solving. The only thing I think will happen is taxes on the rich will be increased because there is so gosh darn much money out there to be taxed that the rich have and we aren't getting. Expect civil rights to be increasingly trampled upon. This also includes Fascisum of the left in the case of Hillary becomming president. Except law suits over things like sexual harrassment to increase or suits against free expression of Religion. Someone said government jamming of cell phone frequencies was illegal. Here is an area where the government may bow to corporations and allow them to jam frequencies to enfource their rules. In terms of all the Bush securety paranoid, don't expect any of that to change under either Hillary or Giuliani. In fact securety could become more of an issue as Al Qaida seeks to test the new government like they did in Britain.

As you know here in California those nutrition laws for school kids took effect July first so there is no selling of soda pop or other junk food. The cell phone laws here take place next July first where it is illegal to drive holding a cell phone. Under any new President, the immigration problem will only be solved by making it worse. Expect either Hillary of Giuliani to allow MORE immigrants accross the border than are coming now. Except the slave working class to increase even under a democrat. Hillary is not a democrat on economic issues. You can pretty much expect the economy to fall apart under Hillary and she won't care; she'll just blame Bush and think she's solved something.

In terms of the War in Iraq this won't be near the issue people think it will be next year. In the first place talk of Impeachment will become a thing of the past. You won't hear about it any more either for Chaney or Bush. Expect to hear less and less of any of these investigative committes of congress. You'll about forget any of them exist because nothing will be said. It will be just another of those disappearing acts. Expect President Bush to be so stealthful in bringing the troops home that nobody makes it an issue in the campaign next year. If anybody tries to raise it as in issue they will be accused of "wallowing in the past" and "taking time away from the democratic agenda". Of course things are and will be a total disaster when we leave, but they won't get any worse. They're already as bad as they can get. Giuliani could still win next year by "playing the securety card". As to Fred Thompson, I don't think he's running or he would have gotten in the race by now. I think he knows he can't win against Hillary but Rudy can.

And that's the way it is on this July 7th. 2007

Photo Test

This is a test of the emergency broadcast system to see if we can download a photo. It takes a long time to do that. I guess I'll go ahead and publish this since they're waiting for me

Boredom Interrupted

Basically what we get on the media are the same predictable reruns. Even the science programs on KCET are reruns. Of course there's a movie set in ancient times where some Egyptian high official says "We are the posessors of all knowledge. We have an almost painful awareness that we posess the totality of all there is to be known". Jesus Christ of KFI made the statement last week that the reason we know there aren't people living on other planets with technology more advanced than we've got is that "Well, Misouri is far away. You don't think people in Misouri are smarter than you, do you? Therefore there IS no such thing as space ships with advanced technology that travel faster than light. It's a romantic, sexy notion, but that's all it is". On KCET there seems to be an appeal to reactionary science. They compared human body weight to some spring that gets stretched or contracted but basically snaps back into the same old position. Therefore human weight falls within a "confort zone". You may go high in the zone or low in the zone but you will never escape it. In another segment of the "quadrilogy" they had the notion that nature created elements numbered one through ninety-two but man wasn't able to get much further. He got to about element 103 (Laurencium) and kind of got stuck. This is because the nuclius of an atom can only hold so many charged protons. But element 114 is called a magic number, and if you could get to 114 by combining Plutonium with Calcium, then you'd have a nuclius that was quite stable. Well they tried that and didn't quite succeed. Some of the things you hear now you've heard decades before. I had a Sunday school teacher back in high school that said that in a decade or two Earth would get struck by an asteroid. Now they are saying an asteroid is headed our way in the year 2027 and it will come ten times closser than the moon. But then if it passes through the "key hole", a patch of space, the asteroid will return in the year 2036 and finish Planet Earth off. Apparently our computers aren't smart enough to figure it more exactly. If you are bored with TV and the radio there's a nice little scripture in 2nd. Peter that should serve as a palliative for all the unwashed masses out there. People condemn Ron Hubbard because he's both a science researcher and a science fiction writer. And yet on KCET they referred to such people as "whole brained" people. They use the research left half of their brains and the creative right half of their brains. And indeed you have to be a bit "creative" to do good research to come up with a theory nobody else has thought of. But of course Christians say that they are the possessors of the sum total of all knowledge.

O Bama's financial report has come in for the second quarter and O Bama now leads Hillary by an impressive lead in money raising, 31 million to 23 million or something. According to the media it won't translate in votes. Even though the polls like at Iowa don't look that impressive for Hillary the media persists on telling us she's the anointed one. Of course they say the same thing about Giuliani on the Republican side. Mayor Viragosa has been caught having an affair with a Mexican reporter and people like Larry Elder say how horrible it is. Viragosa, affair doesn't bother me. I'm more bothered by Rudy's three wives and how Pat Robertson has endourced Giuliani for President. I guess Giuliani is the new guardian of the moral right or something and as such is someone to be looked to for guidance. No, thank you. Then we have the way the media has gone after John Edwards. KTLK 1150 has pointed this out. Edwards is the choice of the left and yet it doesn't show up in the polls. You have people like Anne Coulter launching her sick attack on Edwards and the best the ABC network can do is to give Anne Coulter more air time and to attack Edwards from "profiting monitarily from Coulter's attacks". If that isn't a sick bit of backward logic I don't know what is. Edwards and his wife and family are the victims of Coulter's smears and the media blaims Edwards for it. The chances of Al Gore entering the race are growing slimmer with each passing day. Fred Thompson said he was going to get in the race in early July but so far I haven't heard any announcement. Whether Giuliani is the nominee of the Republican party will depend on the decision Thompson makes. I think he'll make a lot of people in the right wing nut crowd happy and as a target he'll be easier to mount a campaign against than Giuliani would be.

Personally I think we're all sick of this Cry Wolf terror tactict. I'm thinking what some bright group should do is just plant suspicious packages one after the other all within a given area and drive the officials nuts tracking them down and going nuts. Some terror group is going to think of this as a decoy before the real attack. I think we're all sick of the service we are getting at the airports. They say flight cancelations are up 91% and that delays of over 45 minutes are up 65% and the securety measures get more cumbersome all the time. And the people put up with it. No airline would call themselves "The only way to fly" today. Flying used to be a rare treat you'd pamper yourself with. No more. They charge you for a bag of peanuts and that's your dinner. And no smoking allowed. Now the media machine is saying that Al Qaida is planning a "Terrorism spactacular" for later this summer. I think these Al Qaida people have been watching too much US TV. They wouldn't dare try another 9 - 11 or anything remotely like it because within minutes all the perpitrators would be shot dead, along with all the innocent people would lose their lives in Islamic lands because of the subsequent war our president would declaire. Obviously life would become intollarable for American citizens were there to be another 9 - 11. People talk about the date 7 - 07 - 07 but we at the Z A C have been talking about the date 10 - 10 -10 as one to watch for, if you can remember that long.

Bullying is a horrible thing. The chronicle of man's brutality to his fellow man is a shameful one for people on planet earth. On the Montell Williams show they had a fourteen year old boy who came home from football practice because he was mistreated by the other boys. His mother told him to go back and continue the next day. The boy's brains were beaten out and his head was rammed through a wall or something. For a while he was so brain damaged he couldn't count to five. He developed amnesia. But on top of that this was one of those rare "brain damaged" situations where something was destroyed in the brain that controls morality, and the young boy himself became a brutalizer of others. Those responsable for the original crime were never prosecuted. In my Word document I say that "The great Pevericator" as a call him, would just throw up his hands because the worse things become the more excuses he makes not only for himself but for the oppressors. I think Dennis Prager and I would agree that someone who tollerates or even in some ways encourages bullying of others, is an Evil person. We have used the term "The Great Pavericator" for an individual I know in my life. But there is also man's cruelty tword women. In India those women who are widdows are shummed as though they were untouchables or something. They shave their heads in life long mourning and are not allowed by society to remary. Dr. Laura must love it. Of course there is cruelty to fellow women like the way young teenage girls are treated in nunnaries in Ireland, that amounts to cruelty and child molestation. Our impulse should be when we see an injustice taking place to move to quickly correct it. But Montell's message was watered down later in that show when he equated to the beating that 14 year old kid got, to someone saying to someone else, "You know- that person acts a little Gay doesn't he?" Sometimes you insult the important by ad-mixing it in with the unimportant and trivial and calling it all the same. This is what Christians do. They have no such distinction as degrees of Evil. To them it's either all or nothing at all. One might say "If everything is a sin- - then in reality- - Nothing is a sin". (Selah)

We all know what George Bush did yesterday. He commuted the sentense of Scudder Libby. This act has been thoroughly discussed on the Stacy Taylor show on 1150 at noon yesterday. The event has been likened to a Mafia fall guy who goes to prison to be rewarded at a later date. The only thing is Libby never went to prison. The Courts refused to delay implementation of his sentense and the only way to keep him out of jail was for President Bush to act right then. This will make a great campaign issue for the democrats. It's one I wouldn't let anybody forget. Bush wouldn't commute any of those death sentenses in Texas even though some cases were of a nature that they should be reviewed. Bush knows which side his bread is buttered on. He's playing to his constituency even though Bush has sunk to a new all time low of 27% popularity. I don't see why any Republican would want to have anything to do with him. The President might not even be allowed to speak at the convention next year. Of course it sends a message that political vendettas are in force and that CIA agents and our secrets are not safe but at any time can be exploited for political purposes. Obviously Bush and Dick Chaney should be impeached. Pat Lahey is debating whether to cite Bush for contempt of congress for failure to turn over E mails involving the firing of those eight prosecutors. People are saying that the only thing conceivable that would Save the Bush presidency is another 9 - 11 attack. Obviously George Bush does not believe in the rule of law or that law breakers should face the consequences. People on the Stacy Taylor show have said Bush has never had to face the consequences for anything his entire life. I don't see how Bush's image could get any lower.

Here is the next rock compilation. We're putting two songs out of alphabetical order. On the "Missing Links" album we had "Fearless" and "Evil" out of order. On "Links" there is an unannounced surprise we- - never typed in. "Mercedes Benz" by Janis Joplin comes right after "Mama Told Me" on side two, after that weird note. Then comes "Midnight Train" kicking off the next side. On the song we dropped, the Byrds did a cover version of it. "Please Go Home" was inadvertantly ommitted the first draft so we're cutting another song to include it.

There was one more song on the roster when we sorted alphabetically but I didn’t like the way it ended the album so I just dropped it. I was going to call this album “Dylan, Rolling Stones & The Who” but this album kind of turned into one of the most loosely assorted list since “Missing Links”. Like that compilation I kind of let popularity on the radio sway me to a degree. Of course the “Rat” theme is a little topical at this point. Like I say, who associated good cooking with rats? The term “analog chatter” refers to all the noise and other stuff you get with analog that is all filtered out with digital. If a digital signal doesn’t match the code, it doesn’t show up in the reproduction. I have ideas about the rest of the blog but. . .

The Color Blind Leading the Color Blind

You've heard the saying, "If the blind lead the blind both will fall into the ditch". Well, today's Supreme Court decision is a liberal's nightmare. The Supreme Court ruled that all desegragation programs, even volentary ones done by local school districts, are unconstitutional. Out of fadelity to Brown vs. the Board of Education, the Supreme Court had reaffirmed that we need a completely racially color blind system in our schools. That means not taking race into consideration or favoring one race over another at any time. I wouldn't have been upset if the court ruled the other way. I could go either way on this issue. I guess the question is if you have two systems of equal moral merit, that is affirmitive action, and being racially color blind, which do you choose? My solution is to choose the one that has the least government involvement, and that would tip the scales of justice tword the racially color blind solution. People like Thom Hartman like government intervention for its own sake. That's where he and I differ. Of course there are other ways where you could descriminate. Dr. Laura wants to segregate the schools sexually apparently from kindergarten to high school. She invisions a situation that when it comes to teenage dating, girls and boys haven't the vaguest idea how to act around each other. Of course you have these father - daughter "purety balls". That notion sounds a little sick in itself doesn't it? It carried the "Daddy's little girl" one step further. I think there are times when descrimination makes sense. For instance in one's DNA. You want "descrimination" there in order to solve crimes. On Sixty Minutes they had this guy who could have fathered over a hundred and fifty children. According to Dennis Prager we should always ignore genetics. But what if one or more of those children decide to marry? What then. What if one of them gets a horrible desease where DNA enters into the process of healing? Dennis Prager is so against any notion that DNA even exists I have to wonder why? What is he running from? People are always running from something. We're all supposed to be Jesus' "adopted" brothers and sisters. Don't sit there and tell me that the natural son has no more rights or perogatives than the "adopted" children. We as the adopted children and brothers and sisters of Christ often are made by Father not to feel as though we're in the family at all. I'd like to ask Dennis Prager this question in "Religion on the line".

The immigration bill is Dead - - - Dead Again. The bill was officially burried again today in one of those up or down votes. I am not upset with the vote. Sure I was routing for the bill to pass but I can live with its not passing. Just think, we won't have that extra added layer of government and the mass of foreigners seeking universal amnesty. Gosh, with that bill failed we'll just have to enfource the laws we have and wouldn't that be awful. (He said sarcastically) What's so awful about just deporting the illegal aliens we see now? Since this court has swung to the right perhaps it will issue another ruling on proposition 187 by which illegal aliens in California were denied welfare services. You know there is no way the Supreme Court is going to move to the left even under President Hillery. But it could well move to the right if Justice Stevens dies before election day 2008. (not withstanding the song, "Hang on, Stevens") You better get used to conservative rulings because we're just getting started. And I think overturning the ruling on prop. 187 would do more than just about anything Congress could do twords ending this rash of illegal immigrants. Thom Hartman also has the right idea in saying we have an illegal employer problem. If we prosecuted big corporations for what their underlings did, we could start to see a little action. Mexicans need to stay in their own country. If Mexico exports all their dissidents and protestors, how is Mexican government ever going to be cleaned up. Their whole policy is "Aid and Abett" whenever possible. I'm not against the Hispanic race; I just believe in respect for our laws. I think the economy has about another four good months left where we could see a run-up spiking of stock prices, but soon after that I believe the bubble will burst, and then all those aliens will be competing with poor Blacks in this country for the remaining jobs. It could be the defeat of that Immigration bill will solve a lot more problems than would be the case were the bill passed. I know President Bush wants that lower strata of permanent minority working class, but he's just going to have to forgo that pleasure. With any luck another Justice will die before he leaves office and he can appoint a third Justice and really "fix Hillary good" for when she moves into the White House.

There was a World Net Daily article after my own heart a couple weeks ago. They said that suntan lotions and oils actually CAUSE skin cancer. I almost never use them. The very idea of a suntan lotion in excess of XP 15 or whatever seems ludicris. Most people don't burn untill they have spent more than an hour in the sun, and how many people lay out in the sun for fifteen hours at a stretch. Even if you say you burn after a half hour that still gives you seven and a half hours of laying out in the sun before you are in danger of burning. If you're that sensitive to the sun you'll more likely pass out from heat stroke or something else before you are in danger of sunburn. You know the light skinned peoples of the world are light for a reason. Because their bodies need vitamine D from the sun. They used to run adds back sixty or seventy years ago talking about the "Healthful benesits of ultraviolet rays" for your children. When I was young having a good tan was a sign of health, and not just if you're Black, either. Just look at all these chemicals they put in these products. You don't think you're in danger from all those strange sounding chemicals? I think it's all an industry media scam. Why do you need SPF 30 and SPF 45? And they you're in fear the product isn't strong enough!

The latest roomer is that Fred Thompson is going to be appointed Vice President by President Bush who will order Dick Chaney to resign because of all the trouble he's in now. If Bush is in hot water with congress now, Dick Chaney has the problem in spades. I will just remind you of our last posting. Once Dick resigns Fred Thompson will be appointed to give him a leg up on the Republican normination because he's Bush's favorite, and also it will increase the liklihood of his victory in November to have a sitting Vice President. Look how it helped his father in 1988. Do you think there is a chance in Hell Bush Senior would ever have gotten the presidential nod had he not been Reagan's hand-picked successor. (only Lord knows why?) You can't let Hillary loose on an even playing field because she will wallop her competetion, and we can't have that.

Sylvia Browne has stated that earth was colonized by alians from other planets. We at the Orion Federation do not disagree with that. The earth was colonized by Venetians, and Dardanians and Romulans and Druainians. Yes the Druanians are Druids but the word "Drew" is a Romulan word mean "retreat" or "return to where you came from" and denotes the return of the Druanians to a star in the constellation of Virgo. I guess you could say that all the people who colonized earth looked humanoid. The Fundamentalists who believe in "Special Creationisum" also tassitly give the nod to alien colonization because they do believe that Apes evolved but that something happened between the Ape and the coming of man and that man had some special "link" with things Above that animals don't have. Interestingly Sylvia Browne doesn't believe in soul mates. She's the third to deny the idea of a "one and only". Adam and Eve are seen as perfectly matched but Adam would have balled anything that looked like an attractive woman. It's the height of narcicisum to say that Eve was made "Just for Adam". James Dobson has stated he doesn't even believe in soul mates, and neither does Jesus Christ, the guy on KFI. So can we conclude there is nothing "mystical" about meeting for the first time the man or woman you're going to marry? So much for that whole purety ball thing. We at the Federation have our OWN version of so-called "Original sin" if you've read our stuff. You know some say that you should approach life with an attitude twords Thanksgiving to God. I do not disagree with this. Dennis Preger has said, "There is nothing uglier than the sin of ingratitude". It would follow that a grateful, humble heart is pleasing to God. I will not disagree. But I would in Tabitha Lenox tradition like to issue an advisary warning. If your FIRST emotion at being here on earth in this life in your human body, one has to wonder WHAT is motivating this gratitude. Is there any - er- -uh - particular reason why you feel Gratitude. Guides from the Federation tell me (and I'd like to talk to Sylvia Browne about this) that people who feel the primary emotion of gratitude for just Being Alive, - - are the demons. That demon - elf on Passions feels gratitude for the event of liberation from the Abyss, if not for Kay personally. A demon is grateful for the circumstance of being in a human body. They appear to like living in human bodies. According to Sylvia it's a sign of mal adjustment if you have a choice and you prefer being in the Flesh to being dead and on the "Other Side". Supposidly like the song says, all you're friends are there to welcome you there on the Other Side, from past lives and past existances. If you're a demon here you probably have an Agenda to accomplish from your father below. You're looking for and have found an Entity who is morally weak enough to allow you IN to begin with. But when the author of "The Secret" talks about not worrying about Circumstance but just being grateful to be alive, there is another Secret they didn't tell you. I just did. I believe there is a Life Plan or agenda that demons are given when they occupy a body and people report this as "A knowing just what they're supposed to do in this life". NOT all "knowings" are in fact true. A lot of people invision themselves Famous but only the few who make it get to preach God using their own lives. That's what it's about. It's "Preaching" as in "And now a word from our Sponsor", you know, the one Funding the whole thing to begin with.

The i Phone is coming out tomorrow. You've heard a lot about it. It costs five hundred dollars for four gigabytes and six hundred for eight gigabytes. It has the touch screen and you can move things all around and flip things like pages. It's a clear, sharp, scratch resistent screen. And contrary to what Leo Le Port says I believe it will redefine what an i Phone is. I believe it will be the biggest Hit that Apple has ever had. Why bet against the obvious? I'd never buy one because I can't afford one, but the average person is a whole lot richer than I am.

The Fourth Branch of Government

The Washington Post starting last Friday, apparently, has been running a series of news investigative articles on the subject of Dick Chaney, who apparently has declared himself his own branch of the government. Dick Chaney has announced, "I am not part of the executive branch". This is news for constitutional scollars. Apparently Chaney has claimed this because there was a Presidential directive that all officers of the executive branch submit to an investigation by the "National office of archives". Dick Chaney refused. It is apparently standard procedure to give out information about what money your dept. spends or the officials you receive, or who visits you at your house, etcetra. Dick Chaney's response is to suggest that the national archive office be abolished. It could be argued that Dick Chaney wants to be autonomus. Dick is his own country, the country of Dick. I don't know if the country of Dick is near Chad, named after Chad Harris. But knowing Chaney, Dick has on its own continent unto itself. People have long suspected that Dick Chaney was the tail that wagged the dog. Now its disclosed that Dick Chaney was the one who ordered Roberto Gonsolez to approve all these torture plans at Abo Grave and all the "rendering" stuff. Gonsolez was just a whipping boy for the media according to this article. It's been further speculated that Dick Chaney, like the asshole from El Paso, may be the guy who recomended himself for the job of Vice President when Bush burned to Dick for advice. It's further speculated that perhaps Chaney has some blackmail hold over the President, much as J Edger Hoover was suspected of having some hold over Lyndon Johnson. If so these are profound implications. I think this could just be the time to revive a movement for the impeachment of Dick Chaney. By his own words apparently he is an autonamus entity, a governmental entity unto himself, accountable to no one. And now it seems that President Bush may indeed take his marching orders from Chaney and that it is Dick Chaney who is actually pulling the strings. There have been roomers that the White House quietly wants to sideline Chaney for the rest of the life of this adminestration, but perhaps Dick Chaney will not go quietly. It's speculated by talk show callers that another 9 - 11 emergency is being planned for the people of the United States in order to facilitate the introduction of my draconian measures that further limit the civil rights of the American People. If this is so, I don't know how we could prove it. It's a known fact that Bush 41 was having breakfast in Washington DC with Osama Bin Laden's brother when 9 - 11 struck. Then Bush Sr. was quietly whisked away to Wisconsin or some place not to arouse suspition. At the same time all of the Saudi friends of Bin Laden were quietly allowed to fly back to Saudi Arabia when all other air traffic had already been grounded. Hillary Clinton becomming President is becomming with each passing day a foregone certainty. That is unless something "unforseen" occurs.

America's heartland is a hotbed of bigotry. We know this now after last Sunday's Sixty Minutes program. Of course you know that last Friday the President of Viet Nam paid a friendly visit to Orange Country courting businesses and the like in sort of a diplomatic mission. You know the fever of protest the Vietnamese transplants raised in response to his visit. I've always wondered about these Vietnamese transplants, as well as the Cuban transplants in Florida. Do they look at the past with rose colored glasses? They've forgotten the extreme level of corruption in these former "non comunest" governments. Perhaps things wern't as "Wonderful" as these two groups remember things. Was having the Mafia run Cuba really all that idealistic? But now we have a case where our own Government outed someone. I'm speaking now of Donald Rumsfeld. Of course you know that Donald Rumsfeld still has his office in the Defence Department. The sign on the door is only a formality. People argue that Rumsfeld is still pulling the strings. There was a brave soul who obtained a CD Rom of prisoners of war we thought were Americans being tortured in Iraqi prison camps. On closser inspection it was American officers holding the guns. Abo-grave was thus exposed. One brave Army grunt reported the incident through proper channels. The thing is that his securety was less in danger from the Army establishment but rather the bigoted rednecks back in his home town of Cumberland or wherever. The people in his home town including all his friends and relatives who he grew up with- - want to kill this whistle blowing officer who reported Abo-grave. The Army was concerned about his securety and made "whitness protection" arrangements for his protection. I cant imagine a whole turn "turning" on a guy like that. Larry Elder would like to think he isn't among the bigoted stone throwers but I bet if things were different he'd be One Of Them, calling for this man's life. I guess there is an inherent ugliness to middle America, or red state America that even I did not want to admit existed. Perhaps it would have made good television to get these rednecks on Sixty Minutes and spiew their hatred for all America to see.

Dick Lugar has now come out against this "Surge" in troops. He says it won't work and that there are better things we could do with our military and that these troops should be "re-deployed". Lugar apparently didn't need to wait untill September to make up his mind. For him the hand is already clearly writing on the wall. In my own life Marcus has done a flip-flop and now is apparently for the Iraq War and keeping it going at any cost. When I made what I regard as some rather effecting arguments for termanating the Iraq War, Marcus turned to the croud and accused me of "Fillibustering". That's a highly inacurate description. It seems Bush was informed privately of Lugar's defection so it didn't catch him unawares.

Thom Hartman is continuing his campaign to strip Corporations of "person-hood", a status they have held in this country for over a hundred years. This falls under the catigory of Supreme Court of "Stari-decisis" or settled law. In my senior year in High School I took Business Law and learned that a Corporation was legally considered a person and had much of the legal status a person has. Apparently the argument goes to the distinction that Corporations and Churches are "artificial persons" and since the Constitution doesn't limit the term "persons" to mean "natural persons" it would be discriminitory to single out "artificial persons" as a separate class to be "descriminated against". According to Hartman the original 1886 Supreme Court decision didn't even say corporations had person hood but this was added later. Sometimes the myth takes on its own reality. If we were talking about theology and a certain precept hung on the testimony of an old apostle that they discovered later he never said, we would call all theology eminating from such testimony bogus. But you can't do that with the Supreme Court because many decisions subsequent to 1886 have clearly said Corporations had personhood. In fact as you know many people "Incorporate" themselves so that they pay a lower income tax rate, and if I guess if they get sued they can blaim it on their evil, invisable Twin, the Corporation. I am not at all bothered by corporate "person-hood". They still have all the responsabilities of people and have to account for their actions and pay for their crimes, just like people. Some people talk about the "War Industry" as though corporations and not people ran America. I am not bothered by this. I value freedom for all over some artful turn of a phrase Thom Hartman might come up to try and institute his own brand of "Socialized democracy" in America.

I'd like to talk a little about the book "The Secret". The bottom line is that someday they are going to invent a drug, and may already have, that will give you the FEELINGS that that author talked about of strength, vision, and unstoppability. You can have the FEELINGS but this is only chemistry in your brain and the Scientologist in me recoils at the notion of better living through Chemistry. You know the Jesus Movement may have LSD to thank for its existance. Because the hippies were getting farther and farther out in terms of drugs. In those Time-Life books they talked about LSD while it was still legal and the topic repeatedly turns to "finding God" and Death and Ultimate Reality and all that. There were strains of the hippy movement that grew increasingly spiritual in its effort to be "far out" and naturally talk got around to the topic of Death and the End of the World and the Meaning of Life. Soon there were people who said they had "The answer" and forgot that they were merely among the many people asking questions. You know, if the Secret book were true- - then all you would have to do is give people this new hapiness drug- - and since emotions create reality (a staple of Christian Preachers) then everyone would win the lottery and be rich. But we know mathmatically this can't happen. I would like God to give me what was talked about. The author of The Secret says, "Just think what you'd most like to Be in this life, and make it so". I have my own ideas. And if God trusted me to put my Desires into effect I believe this world would be a better place and I would be a better person with more "God" points. Like a woman who tells her husband, "You can't imagine what I could do for you sexually if you'd just make me happy" I am tempted to tell God "You'll never know how I would react with the Blessings you give others, untill you try it out". But God has made a Covenent with his Own Mortality. Let me explain. God has made a covenent with the one thing that can utterly Destroy him. You see the essence of Life, many people say, is the capacity to Relate to one's Environment and respond to it and interract and learn from it. God is in essence saying to me in saying "No" to me, "and furthermore I sware I'll never change my mind on this. I can't. Don't you see?" Because a world predestined from the "foundation of the universe" means among the things God CANT and CAN NEVER do is change and respond to us and learn something new. But if I am going to be allowed the luxury of "thinking things" my thoughts turn tword a Pandora's Box type situations where Demon spirits are released from some imprisoning Abyss like on Passions today. Some call it "Having the key to the bottomless Pit". These demons become liberated and reek havoc on humanity. I suppose some would say the hippies were demonic and the music was demonic. But if you're going to think in this vein then all the religion to come out of the sixties is also demonic. It's like that Planet on Star Trek where these spirits were imprisoned "on the south pole" and several of them wanted to hijack the Enterprize to take the ship there. What do you think?

You know last Sunday there was a guy giving a sermon about two different acts. One of the acts was filling sacks of dirt, and the other was filling sacks of dirt to save a town from a flood. Even before the punch line was delivered I said to myself “The Christian does the act that’s meaningless”. Doing something for a reason makes a lot more sense than doing something for no reason at all. May I suggest that most of the stuff I did as a Christian was utterly meaningless and the only thing it proved was that others could get me to jump through hoops whenever they wanted. You know when a girl, most likely a virgin, has sex with a guy most often she’s doing it because she feels pressured. He “sold her a line”. Afterwards if it turns out she didn’t enjoy the sex at all and regrets it, he couldn’t care less. That’s kind of how it is with God. I don’t really think God could care if you do all this religious stuff pastors like Jesus of KFI want you to do. It’s not bringing you closer to God. Take Chelsea on Days of our Lives. One might say the reason why she finally had sex was “for the sake of the relationship”. He’d love her more and all that. But Nick didn’t “rock her world”. It was more sex on the basis that she figured she somehow “owed him sex”. God in metaphore makes himself out to be the man and the disciple as the woman, demeaning for men as that is. May I suggest God is a horrible example of what “The ideal man” is like. Most often you should observe what God does and do the opposite. Submission to a man doesn’t mean that you like him more. On the contrary it may well mean you like him LESS than if he’d had enough respect for you not to push you into something you didn’t want. There was an incident with Gary this afternoon that as absurd as it is revealing. It was a hot afternoon on the patio and I wanted to get out of the sun and sit down and relax, so I carried a heavy metal chair over to the side of the wall where there is a few feet of shade to get out of the sun. Before I sit down Gary gives me this line about “You can’t sit there; you’re blocking my view of the men working on the sliding door”. For a moment I submitted to his crap. Then I said to him that line about “Getting your way doesn’t mean I like you more, it means I like you less”. Right at that moment I realized what an absurd statement I had just made and moved my chair against the wall like I’d originally wanted to. Gary is of known of course for being an asshole and constantly insinuating himself into others life in socially obnoxious ways.

There was a major fire in South Lake Tahoe that destroyed a lot of trees and structures where people had their cabins. They said the snow pack table as of May first was only 29% or normal. We hear the same stuff over and over and if I never heard a drought or fire story for the next five months, that would be wonderful. There was another fire in Tahatchapi or something where women were crying saying how they went on their first dates in a certain cabin. Then there was a story about a church in Upland that went on a retreat to Biship and five people were killed in a car crash coming home. It was the usual “Why would God do this?” They also said that three other people were killed along that same stretch of highway. I get the feeling they are really dredging for news stories. Paris Hilton is the big item. Now we know all about the streets that lead up to her home and two away zones instituted. The story about the women murdered who was nine months pregnant and due early next month - - has been receiving massive air-play. In the Phil Specter trial there was a lot of arguing over the minutia of “back splatter” in the death of Lana Clarkson, who contrary to roomer was never married to Lex Luther. I watched some of that on station 4.4 but got very bored pretty fast.

There is something called an Omega Block which is in operation in the weather right now. This has nothing to do with an epidural. It’s the pattern that the isobars on the weather map form that go “up and over”. Basically it’s an explanation for why it’s getting warmer and going to get warmer, rather than the cooling trend that was promised in yesterday’s weather report.

Samantha is undergoing amnio centesis and Marlena wants to rig the tests so that Lucas is the father of her now twins- - and Kate wants Nick to rig the tests so that Elvis is the father. Sammy is right. “All of this lying is pointless”.

The Supreme Court today has issued perhaps its final two decisions of the year. As Junes go, this has been one of the quietest seasons on the Supreme Court I’ve observed in a long time. One decision was saying that schools had the right to limit sudent speech. Apparently there was an offencive sign that read “Bhong Hits for Jesus”. That sign had to be taken down. The Supreme Court says that school authorities are like parents for minors and thus function as parents. Of course I believe it’s legal to search student lockers because the lockers aren’t student property. The other decision is one I am in hearty agreement with but that Thom Hartman didn’t like. This one punched a loophole through Mc Cain – Feingold, a campaign finance bill I never liked to begin with. Now if you’re a member of the Sierra Club or a right to lifer, or any other political action group, you can run TV and media adds right up till election day. To decree otherwise would have infringed on free speech. Rush Limbaugh must like this ruling from things I’ve heard him say in the past. In World Net Daily there was an article about how Hillary and the liberals had plans to reign in Talk Radio once they came to power. We always need to preserve free speech. What Mc Cain – Feingold sought to do was to rig campaigns and make them just another function of government, the way Thom Hartman wants to regulate everything. We still have to remember this is America and not Sweden, or Cuba. I guess the jury is in for Michael Moore’s latest movie on the Health Care Industry. If they were talking about health care in England, France, or Cuba then the rose colored glasses were put on and they could find nothing wrong. But when it came to America they could find nothing right. Let’s get real. The last I heard our Health Care industry still delivers better care than all these European socialized countries, that have their own set of problems that Michael Moore won’t talk about.
