Randy Rhodes has been
talking about the disparity between the rich and the poor. The top one percent earn more actually than
the bottom 95% of Americans. World-wide
the one percent control forty percent of the wealth, but this country which
used to pride itself on its egalitarianism, the one percent control 36%. Actually I was expecting it was higher than
that. But this means the top one percent
live on a standard of living thirty five times that of your average American
like me in the lower fifty percent. Last
night I was preparing a second blog for the evening. This was after ABC news and the usual ABC
game shows. I sensed an exasperation and
almost desperation in the tone of George Washington’s blog, and was hesitant to
even quote for it. But I managed to find
some pretty good usable stuff about terrorism and probabilities of dying. The terrorists already know we have extreme
measures against our population.
Congress and everyone else know.
All of those 147 corporations that run the world already know. Only we the American people who vote and
support these people with our tax dollars- - WE didn’t know the sort of
measures the government was taking against us.
And somehow our learning what everybody else already knows is
treasonous. I remember one Bible study
at the Bosc house when Ron was doing it.
This was one time I was in attendance in late June of 1984. And one time things were OK in my life- - and
compared say fifteen months later, they were almost idyllic, but all the same I
was frustrated about whatever and I used the phrase “I wish things would - - “
and something. Ron of course in the
prayer time says “Lord we know that you don’t let people get away with people
just wishing for things when they pray”.
I think we as a nation are kind of at that point right now of this wing
and a prayer throw up your hands in desperation time.

person one: OK God what I'd like to know is- - this one place in scripture where it says to avoid every form of Evil. I guess my problem with that is- - Evil may come in forms people don't recognize. Could you give me a little guidance on this?
GOD: First of all that's a mistranslation. The correct hermanutic rendering is "Avoid even the appearence of Evil". Questioner: "I'm not sure of the distinction". GOD "Liberals are attempting to alter the clear meaning of this text to let themselves off the hook. For instance suppose a local Pastor has been made aware that a good teenage friend and neighbor of his is in a rock band and is performing at this 'Happy Hour" at the local Hotel Lounge. Should he attend? Obviously not. Alcohol will be consumed- - and this is the taint that will ruin this Pastor's witness of me before the Unsaved, because he is fostering the apparence of going along with Evil.
another questioner: Well while we're on that subject and you have said you want at all cost to avoid even the appearence of Evil- - what about your Son. He was born to an unwed mother in a society that regularly stoned women guilty of adultry. Why to my way of thinking- - this would be almost as bad psychologically for a child as having two gay parents. What say you? GOD: First of all I resent like the Devil any notion that my Son was raised in anything but a perfect family environment with two parents, a man and a woman. Had it been otherwise- - he would be unable to become the Messiah.
another questioner: Well then I am truely perplexed by that last response. Because to me it seems like you are "setting up" a situation of Evil in advance. And we are told that You are not the Author of Evil. GOD: You to err. I do not "authorize" evil. Man has a free will and I respect that. But I do Allow evil. (same questioner) to you mean to "allow" evil is OK as long as you don't "Authorize" it. Gosh, I'm wondering about violation of voting rights of Minorities in the South. Here is a clear situation where say if Mitt Romney had been President he might choose to Ignore certain - - - GOD: Enough! I will not engage in this kind of Political talk. I'm not here to discuss your petty Politics. Please remember that.

Liberals want people to focus on Love- - when they should be looking to only Me as their first and only love and to follow My teachings and precepts. Are you quite clear on that?
Marcus Arelius: Well as a Born Again Christian myself I pride myself on putting the important stuff front and center. That is salvation by grace and the precious blood of Jesus Christ which was shed for the remission of our sins. GOD: No. You have it wrong. The important thing that my Son did was not "shedding his blood" as you so poetically put it. The thing my son did was the Dying. (Marcus) I'm afraid I don't see the distinction. GOD "I'll take it for granted that you're really that dumb, but for the benefit of all those for whom it is not perfectly clear- - I don't WANT people worshiping some Blood with some kind of magiical sin attoning powers. People take communion because they think they are enbibing my blood and flesh. And yet as you can see- - I am here in flesh and blood just as I was when I talked to Abraham when i told him about Sodom and Gamorah. (Marcus) I'm still confused. GOD Well let me make it Plain. I don't want people's eyes on the "blood of Christ" when they worship. I want it to be on themselves and to focus on all of their bodily lusts on a 24 - 7 basis. Because battling sin is an ongoing battle and every minute of every day is a person isn't dying to themselves they are sinning.
(another questioner) Would you then, answer a question about government as an abstract concept. GOD I think that would be permissable (questioner) Do you believe the Authors of the Constitution were aware of this depraved state of mankind and that all government was destined to fail and it was not a question of whether but When? GOD "I believe you're one person who has it pretty much nailed.
(another questioner) I guess I have another question along those same lines. You said that we were to pay taxes to Ceasar and yet now people in your name say that we need to virtually abolish all taxes as some kind of abomination or something. Could you please clarify this cunundrum for me? GOD Certainly. Of course Jesus said to pay taxes. I'm not advocating NOT paying your taxes, but all the same you don't have to like it- - do you? Now, doesn't that make sense?
(another questioner) One TV preacher once said that it isn't Love that gives you power. That you are not essentially Love but it's the Power that "keeps you on the throne" as he put it. GOD That's right. I AM Power. He who worships ME worships that which Empowers Me. I and the Power are One. OK fine but I don't think you've been entirely honest with us about this whole Roman occupation thing. It says in Romans to "Obey all the powers over you for these Romans do not carry the sword in vain". GOD I believe that Rom was the legitimate earthly power. I resent like the Devil the idea that these Jewish priests think they could sacrifice some animal and somehow be Justified before me. These Priests would not even HAVE any power were it not granted them by Rome. (questioner) I'm a little stunned.

(last questioner continues) Now let me get this perfectly straight. Because in the Gospels you tell your desciples to obey the Priests and respect them for they are the duly empowered authorities over you. GOD "That's right - - given what I just explained" (questioner) Well then when you condemned some of these cities to Hell that you preached in and were pissed they rejected you and you condemned them to Hell. Do you suppose there were any Priests in that crowd? GOD There undoubtably were. (questioner) So weren't you in essence telling a duly appointed authority to Go To Hell.

Marcus Arelius: I guess it's my turn again. So you say it's your Power that is your essence. Well as you know we are determining whether we as a nation will be a "Christian Nation". I guess I'd just like to say that what you say and what you have already said- - will go a long way into determining which way I Vote.
