Hillary Clinton Comes Out For Gay Marriage

Hillary Clinton came out officially yesterday in favor of gay marriage.  Both she and the President had stated that they were not for gay marriages in their 2008 campaigns, but times have really changed.  Rob Portman of Ohio, who was almost Romney’s running mate last year- - announced that he had a son who was gay and he knew this last year, which means perhaps he told Romney about his son, and for this reason was passed over.  Of course I always thought Romney would pick Bobby Gendle, who was a natural- - and he’s like Paul Ryan but comes across as just a little saner in his addresses to the public than does Ryan.  Of course the acceptance of Gay Marriage continues to rise in the polls.  It seems that 58% of the people now favor gay marriage whereas 36% are opposed to it.  Whether it’s 58% or 88% I don’t see the popular opinion affecting my own view against gay marriage.  The term, as I have indicated- is an oxy moromism since the very definition of “marriage’ involved a union between a man and a woman.  Of course the idea of polls and policies revolving around perhaps three percent of the population is not new.  The Republicans last year built their whole campaign around the fraction of one percent that earns over four hundred thousand dollars a year- - and nobody thought about that being the least bit unusual or improper.  I’d like to know just who answers these polls because its sure nobody I know.  Even last week people had doubts about whether Hillary Clinton would indeed take the leap and go all the way tword endorsing Gay Marriage.

Now there is a movie called The Bible- on the History channel of cable or something.  And the thing is controversial because the Devil in the thing bears a definite resemblance to President Obama, and this could not be by accident.  It takes no stretch to see how a movie producer would have personal and unjustified malice when you see “2016” for instance, and all the psychophants in the theater that just ate it up that day.  Of course this too is another “marketing reality” now- - of marketing to the 25% who believe in angels and demons, and God creating the world in six days and all of that.  Apparently this Bible movie covered “The Bible’s Greatest Hits”  and now there are actors trying out for all sorts of parts in other movies such as Noah and Moses, and Pilate, and probably David.  Of course- - there was a major genocide committed against the children of liberals in society- - and it’s called Roe vs Wade.  This is why such a disperportionate amount of this Paul Ryan generation – for lack of a better term- - are so hard right, because they were raised by hard Right parents - - who indoctrinated them well.

This is Tuesday March 19, 2013 and it used to be the day the swallows returned to Capistrano and kind of the unofficial first day of spring.  Hal Sparks is talking about this Stubenville, Ohio rape case where we’ll go into the details of it later, and you all know them anyhow.  Sufficie it to say that High School football jocks are the most privileged and presumptuous people on the face of the earth and frankly this whole small town High School football scene where the whole town seemingly worships the stars, who are promoted to near status of idolatry and can do no wrong, this whole sidrone sucks.  Not only didn’t the people at the original party speak out in protest of the raping and the videos and abusing a woman whom they’d gotten drunk and was now passed out, but these people could be prosecuted for observing a felony and not stopping it and perhaps as accessories to the crime.  Three other people involved in the doing videos, were not prosecuted, that Melique guy who was a Black and Trent, who was a white guy.  Of course CNN sided with the rapists in seemingly one of the worst brieches of bad taste.  David Cruise and Hal Sparks commented on this.  ABC news said that there would be a whole lot more prosecutions of the people of Stubenville, or “Stupidville’ for the way they all acted.  I think the name of this town should become infamous from this point forward for people to remember one of the famous low water marks about how football jocks treat sixteen year old girls.  But even the football coaches themselves were against the truth of this rape case being known.  But if I were CNN I’d fire Candy Crowley and that young assistant of hers right now, and if they don’t then we should all boycott CNN.    Frankly if I were the high school administrator I’d cancel Football because- - in the tradition of parents giving kids special priveleges they abuse, “You have proven you can’t handle it, so I’m taking it away” be it abusing their internet priveleges or what have you.  I’d like to know what species of parents raise animals like these two boys.  Candy Crowley was perfectly to side with these boys “Whose lives would be ruined now” but absolutely no sympathy for the sixteen year old girl whose live would be forever scarred.  And of course FOX news released the victim’s name.  But then we all know the Tea Party people are not all that opposed to rape anyhow.  In this one state where they limit abortions to the first six weeks- - there is no provision made for incest and rape.

This morning [Saturday March 16th] after nine thirty I played that House committee meeting where they work on the Medicare budget and I heard Paul Ryan repeat the same things he said this morning, but most of the time I listened to Van Holland’s major introductory speech.  After ten it was Melinda Lee.  We had grilled cheese sandwiches for lunch with carrot salad, and Loretta gave me more carrot salad and another half sandwich.  We had watermelon for desert.  Dr. Levy convened class just a little after noon.  It wasn’t productive because I didn’t like these questions he asked that seem to call for one of these ethereal answers that “sound trite” but the sort of thing Dr. Levy gets off on, except I wasn’t able to deliver.  The second question was what have I learned now that I’m older.  Dr. Levy had no coffee for me and in fact wouldn’t give me any money either, but said he “might stop by with coffee” next week.  For Dr. Levy a “Yes” is really a “Maybe’ and a “Maybe” pretty much means “Don’t hold your breath”.  The class went till about twenty after one- - and there was talk of Marie’s plan for Time Warner where she pays only $19.95 a month and that is with cable and cable installation is only ten dollars, which I find impossible to believe considered what I paid the phone company for instelations that were already there in 2006.  I had Leo Le Port on till two and then watched NCAA basketball.  Ohio State nosed out Michigan state at the last minute 61 to 58, so was a low scoring game.  I haven’t asked Janet for anything, not coffee, or cigarettes, or her offer of buying Swiss Miss on a dollar credit.  It was Chris Matthews at three and that went almost to four.  I had a major part of the long segment of Thursday’s show after I was done with Friday’s show in its entirety.  There were no problems with the sound this outing.  In other news the LA Marathon is running tomorrow morning with it’s “downhill run” from Dodger Stadium to the sea.  They may be banning all bon fires on the beach in all of Los Angeles and Orange counties “because some residents on Newport Beach have complained of salt.  I don’t need to tell you how retarded that is.  The next thing you know they’ll be complaining salt corrodes their TV antennas.  Meanwhile in Iowa and in four other agricultural states they are making these sneak videos of animal abuse on farms, out to be a crime.  The only reason why they’d make these expose documentaries a crime, is because they want to be free to conduct their dirty work in private away from prying eyes.  Of course there is all this talk about freedom to carry firearms anywhere- - and private business owners have nothing to say about that.  One state passed a law forbidding- - cities to regulate food content on their own, in a bizarre response to Mayor Bloomberg.  But the Bloomberg law on soft drink size was overturned by the Courts at the last minute.  But in general it’s been another week of a do nothing congress, with what seems to this writer not one hint things will ever change till at least after the mid term election.  It’s discouraging.
