Trump Proceeds With Bombing Raid on Syria

Yesterday President Trump pardoned Scudder Libby and some say it’s a message sent to Michael Koehn that maybe if you cooperate with me, I’ll pardon you, too.  It drags Libby into the press again and it revives all that stuff about Dick Chaney and the Gulf War.   The big question is whether Trump is going to pardon everybody who is now under investigation.  It seems according to Comey, who’s book came out yesterday- - that Trump was obsessed with public relations and putting the right spin on things and to “investigate” the source of this story about the Russian prostitutes.   It’s hard to nagivate these muddy waters.
Trump last night at six o clock local time got time on the networks to announce that he was bombing Syrian chemical plants that produced all of those chemical weapons.  I don’t have any complaints about the basic content of the brief speech.  It seemed reasonable to me.   Now they are saying it isn’t just chlorine gas but saran too, and that’s a whole lot worse.  But “Mad Dog Mattis” says that it’s a “one and done” type of opporation and that this won’t just be the opening volley of the start of a World War.  We need to pray for our President.  Now they say that Michael Koehn made a secret trip to Prague in the summer of the 2016 campaign because this would be a link in the whole Russian collusion thing.
[earlier Friday] Mike Pompeo was testifying before the Senate in his confirmation hearing for Secretary of State and the democrats wanted to know how he felt about gay people.   They said he could get the job even with a negative vote out of the committee.   President Trump has delayed his missile decision beyond the 48 hours he said he would.  Now he is back-peddling.

Paul Ryan yesterday said he would not run for his house seat this year. 24 Republicans in congress have decided not to run this year as opposed to only nine democrats.  Ryan says he gets along with Trump OK but I think we know otherwise.   Trump’s own Justice Department is at war with their commander and chief.  We hear about office “break ins” and we think people sneaking around trying to sabotage the government or something.  Obviously I wouldn’t want my stuff broken into in the dead of night or whatever.  I don’t think they found anything they can use or we would have heard about it.  Trump now wants to renegotiate the Trans Pacific Partnership, I hear.  Of course if Trump were smart I guess he’d consider Wall Street a “poll” that he can’t ignore as some sort of a negative referendum on his performance.  Now Trump is under fire for announcing ahead of time that he’s going to drop bombs on Syria.  It seems as if Trump can’t win for losing.  The media is on his tail and they’re not letting go.  I guess I kind of feel sorry for the guy at this point.  But the funny thing is the republicans control everything and still Trump is struggling.  But to put myself in Trump’s head right now he has to be thinking that maybe Muller is “stuck” like Wheel of Fortune people are “stuck” and you kind of sense it ahead of time.  The clues aren’t falling together.   So will Muller slip away quietly in the night?

This computer is on its last legs.  One time I got an insert boot disk and press enter.  I tried again and the computer started up normally.  I waited by the laundry room at eight thirty for more bathroom supplies but nobody else was there including Augustine.  I went out and bought more cigarettes.  John Kip said he didn’t want the three loaners back.   My phone for a brief time didn’t have a dial tone this morning.  When I got a dial tone Paul’s number was busy.   Today is Saturday April 14, 2018 and tomorrow is the Long Beach Grand Prix.  Monday they hold the Boston marathon, which is a tax holiday so taxes are due Tuesday April 18th.   I went out and looked at the lunch and dinner menus and won’t be changing either of them.
